The Merchant:
Also known as the creator, the seller, the brand, the retailer, or the vendor. They
don’t even have to be actively involved. They just have to have a product to sell.
The Affiliate: Also known as the publisher. They can earn good commissions each
month. Here is the marketing happens. An affiliate promotes one or multiple affiliate
products and tries to attract and convince potential customers of the value of the
merchant’s product so that they actually end up buying it. Through review blog of
the merchant’s products.
The Consumer: The affiliate will try to market to the consumer on whatever
channel they see fit, whether that’s a social network, digital billboards or through
a search engine.

• Affiliates, on the other hand, require only an ad-space to promote the merchants’
products, and thus can enjoy watching the beautiful sunset while earning cash
• The affiliate does not have to worry about customer support, book keeping, and e-
commerce related headaches online Merchant handles it all; Affiliate needs to do is
promote and resell the product.
• Advertisers can promote a product to a vast audience, giving their brands more
exposure and recognition.
• Consumers that come from the affiliate’s site can provide important information
concerning the latest trends and demands.
