Properly characterizing a lubricant deposit can provide insight into the cause of a problem and allow plants to make corrective actions, resulting in tremendous savings. This webinar will present a multitude of real-world case studies where this practice of deposit characterization has been used in the field. Attendees will learn how a unique deposit that is not detectable through normal varnish testing caused a million-dollar shutdown at a nuclear facility, about the creation of tar balls in a sensitive gas turbine, how black goo was generated in a critical gas compressor, among others. (Greg Livingstone, Fluitec, 2014)

The Role of Gas Seal Technology In Reducing Methane EmissionsJohn Crane
A United Nations panel examining the critical role gas will play in achieving the international organisation’s Sustainable Development Goals has invited an expert from John Crane to showcase how the firm’s technology is reducing methane emissions in sectors of the natural gas industry by up to 95%.
First presented at Certas Energy's Clean Air breakfast event on 22nd May 2017, this presentation introduces a new entrant into the clean air debate - paraffinic fuels.
With improved combustion properties, these cleaner alternatives can be used in standard diesel and gas oil engines while reducing greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90%. With no investment in infrastructure, machinery or vehicles required, they could play a vital role in cleaning up Britain's industry.
Certas Energy is the first to introduce and pioneer Shell GTL Fuel (Gas-To-Liquid) in the UK, with the aim of improving air quality.
