This document proposes a cloud-based portal for St. Mary's College that would provide a centralized, personalized interface for students and faculty. It describes cloud computing and its characteristics like location independence, ease of maintenance, reliability, and cost efficiency. The portal would offer services like a web interface, file transfer, email, voice/chat, database, and storage. It aims to facilitate academics, research, communication, and event management through modules for fees, results, schedules, documents, projects, and lectures. The portal would be built using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL on an Apache web server. Its objectives are to connect the campus community and increase student performance.

▪ A Portal is a web system that provides a easy ,personalized and user
customizable web interface for facilitating access to information and
services that are of primary relevance to the users.
▪ The main target of the interface is providing students all the main
services at a single place in a customized fashion.
▪ The Cloud Plateform will ProvideThe Physical (Hardware) Links for this
Portal service and all other Services to the Students.


 Cloud computing is a type of Internet-based computing that
provides shared computer processing resources and data
to computers and other devices on demand.
 Cloud computing gives access to shared pool of
configurable ressources like computer networks ,servers
,storage areas applications and services.

platform, typically including operating system, programming-language
execution environment, database, and web server. (ex:Azure ,Gapp Eng)
 SaaS :-Software as a service . Providing service as Load
Balancers,redundancy management etc..
 MbaaS :- Mobile Backend as a service .Providing SDKs and lots of
libraries.
