About the Author A rne  P edersen  – Author, leader, and trainer, Mr. Pedersen’s background starts with the United States Army.  Mr. Arne Pedersen was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Armor Branch of the U.S. Army.  He commanded a tank platoon in the Persian Gulf War earning a  Bronze Star Medal  for his actions which has attributed to his strong, unwavering leadership.  He served in other capacities such as Company Executive Officer, Battalion Assistant S-3, Battalion/Brigade Plans Officer, and Company Commander.  In the commercial sector, Mr. Pedersen   has successfully grown and   managed retail stores.  He also worked for an Internet company in planning and executing the change project of moving the company from a structure and culture of a privately held non-profit company to a division of a fortune 500 publicly traded company.  Furthermore, Mr. Pedersen successfully established and managed a strategic sourcing group focusing on information technology outsourcing and offshoring within a fortune 50 health care company saving the company over $90 million through negotiations and stronger supplier performance.
About the Author Mr. Pedersen founded Human Capital Management with vision of training leaders in a complex world in practical leadership and business skills.  As part of this vision, Mr. Pedersen authored the book, “ Lead with Intent ” a comprehensive yet practical leadership bible.  Mr. Pedersen has also written a series of articles entitled, “ At War with Leadership ” published online with the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce.  With his patented approach of  mission first – people always , Mr. Pedersen has worked with a variety of companies in a variety of industries helping them to navigate in a complex world.   Mr. Pedersen has made several presentations including: “ Leadership in action ” – Interview on CNBC, “The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch”; “ Leadership: The Importance of Commitment ” – KemKrest National Supply Chain Management Networking Conference.   Mr. Pedersen earned his bachelors’ degree from Indiana University where he earned  Distinguished Military Graduate .
