Transport and storage pricing is becoming more critical as the world becomes more uncertain. Regional transport is more strategic than economic, as better prices can attract more business, while swaps are better suited than outright purchases. Storage transforms baseload supply into structured deals, but there is little financial incentive, making it more of a necessity. Strategic positioning and preparing infrastructure well in advance of operations is important to gain flexibility and avoid being at the mercy of prices.
