- The EP diagram is drawn about the piracy that exists in Somalia.The pirates of Somalia are very famous.They plan htieractivites very carefully, organise and execute it step by step.They take care that no mistake is made which will collapse their plan.Nowadays, Somalia coast has been considered as the most dangerous water strech in the world.The pirates are up to date and use the latest technology for hijacking the ships.They don’t use swords anymore whereas they rocket propelled grenades.They start their operation by attracting the young generation, recruit them and train them acordingly.They are so much influenced by the money they get by hijacking ships that they risk themselves to any extent.The pirates make sure that the new recruits are trained properly and they are aware of all the proceeses taking place, as a small mistake will land them in the hands of the police. The attacks by Somalia pirates is till continuing even after the international naval escorts and patrols have been incresed.It is seen that the Somalia pirates have earned a ransom amount of around $200 million as ransom in the year 2008.An agreements has been drawn between Somalia and UN to keep a check on pirates in Somalia. This has helped in capturing them and they are handed for trial to their countries. Research shows that there have been 111 attacks in a year by the Somalia pirates. Comparative study shows that during Jan-Feb 2009, the attacks were times higher during the same year in the previous year. People see that they are sometimes benefitted by the pirates. It is also helps them to get jobs and employment opportunities seem to increase during a period of year. Sometimes the fishermen in Somalia, fish so many kilos of fishes that their average day wages are as high as fifty times they get generally.The pirates gain ample knowledge on sea, find various ways of hijacking.As their plan is foolproof they are able to take hostage of ships and earn handsome ransoms that give their survival.This helps in improving the standard of life they live.Though every pirate is aware of the danger and see every second as death, however they never give up and put their best effort in their work.
