TECHNOLOGY ACCEPTANCE MODEL
Introduction
IT acceptance has over the last few years received considerable attention. Various theoretical models have been proposed to explain the end-users’ acceptance
behavior (Al-Emran, Mezhuyev, & Kamaludin, 2018). Among the various theoretical models, TAM that was proposed by Davis is typically applied and empirically
tested. Technology acceptance model (TAM) The technology acceptance model is an information system theory that is used in modeling how users normally accept
technology use. This is a model that is considered to be one of the most influential and commonly used theories. It is therefore very critical in describing the
importance of technological innovations in e-commerce. The practical system use is the ultimate conclusion that users want people to be willing to do something
regarding technology, and also need to establish behavioral intention which may e a factor that would encourage people to use the innovation. The behavioral
intention is said to be affected by the attitude (A) of the general understanding of the technology (Nugroho, Bakar, & Ali, 2017). Many studies have been conducted
globally to investigate TAM’s relevance in understanding e-learning acceptance among the students. In many regions, e-learning is adopted for its assumed potential

Although the Ghanaian polytechnics have had computers and varied levels of ICT development for almost two decades now, ways
to create effective IT-enabled teaching and learning methodologies have evolved slowly and patchily. This situation is gradually making the
polytechnic trainees incompatible in the digital-enabled job markets. Coupled with this development is the fact that the internet has become
the single and largest library and knowledge reservoir thus making it indispensable in the teaching and learning ambit. It has therefore become
imperative and collective responsibility to identify the factors that inhibit the adoption of the technology by the tertiary teachers especially
the Polytechnic Teachers Association of Ghana (POTAG) fraternity to bridge the digital gab to add more value to the polytechnic teachers
and graduates and to raise their relevance in the industry. This research therefore comes in, with the case of the Tamale Polytechnic, to
explore the challenges and recommend strategies to stakeholders. Descriptive survey methodology, which is capable of collecting background
information and hard to find data without the researcher motivating or influencing respondents' responses, was used to arrive at our findings.

Investigating a theoretical framework for e-learning technology acceptance IJECEIAES
E-learning has gained recognition and fame in delivering and distributing educational resources, and the same has become possible with the occurrence of Internet and Web technologies. The research seeks to determine the factors that influence students' acceptance of E-learning and to find out the way these factors determine the students' intention to employ E-learning. A theoretical framework was developed based on the technology acceptance model (TAM). To obtain information from the 270 university students who utilized the E-learning system, a questionnaire was formulated. The results revealed that “social influence, perceived enjoyment, self-efficacy, perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use” are the strongest and most important predictors in the intention of and students towards E-learning systems. The outcomes offer practical implications for practitioners, lawmakers, and developers in effective E-learning systems implementation to improve ongoing interests and activities of university students in a virtual E-learning atmosphere, valuable recommendations for E-learning practices are given by the research findings, and these may turn out to be as guidelines for the efficient design of E-learning systems.
The focus of this study is to seek the relevance of investing in Information Technology (IT) by the students. The research takes into account 50 students studying at different disciplines at Dhaka University. The respondents were visited randomly to get the relevant data. The result of the study suggests that students’ academic quality and knowledge enhancement have a relationship with investment in IT though the relationship is not significant. The result of hypothesis testing shows that students those have invested in personal computer and internet secure comparatively higher cumulative grade point average (CGPA) rather than those who haven’t invested on these IT tools. But the likelihood of investing higher amount in IT will pay-off better CGPA is not found thus there is no association of good result and investing heavily on IT. However, the findings of this exploratory study offer insights that the money invested in IT for academic purpose is more advantageous than otherwise be invested especially for those students whose academic curriculum mainly decorated in accordance with the modern up-to-date era of Information Technology. Eventually, this study will help concerned students, guardians and academicians understanding how important IT is for student’s academic performance.

This study investigated students’ perception towards acceptance of digital transformation in teaching-learning activities studying at different levels in Kathmandu valley (includes 3 districts: Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur), Nepal. Using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as a research framework to examine the factors affecting how students come to accept and use technology. The literature review indicated that social influence, accessibility, computer self-efficacy, infrastructure, and perceived enjoyment were the most common external factors of TAM. A total of 384 students were participated in the study. Different statistical analyses have been performed in order to test the significance of the considered factors that may affect the digital learning practices of students. The result of the data analysis revealed that social influence, accessibility, computer self-efficacy, infrastructure, and enjoyment have a significant impact on perceived ease of use of the digital learning system. Furthermore, social influence, accessibility, computer self-efficacy, infrastructure, and enjoyment were also found to have a positive influence on the perceived usefulness of the digital learning system. The Digital learning system is changing the traditional practice of learning with technology and innovation. The study support that using digital tools in education makes academic activities more interesting, easy to access, creative, effective, and productive.

The Internet has become one of the greatest inventions of mankind for learning and sharing of useful information through electronic means. For some years now, the developed nations have adopted the use of the e-learning system. Presently, the COVID-19 outbreak has given rise to the adoption of the e-learning system by many countries of the world being the most viable alternative for teaching and learning. This paper uses a pragmatic approach to evaluates the benefits and challenges associated with the e-learning system. A survey was conducted among students in a higher institution and a total of one hundred and twenty-five responses was gathered from the online questionnaire to know the likely challenges faced by students with the e-learning system and also at an online researchers’ forum. The result shows that 30.40% of students complained about weak internet connectivity from the questionnaire administered which is also the major problem in most developing nations, and for optimal performance of the e-learning system, there should be adequate provision for strong internet connectivity, standard IT infrastructure, and user-friendly e-learning platform.
Technology Enabled Learning to Improve Student Performance: A SurveyIIRindia
The use of recent technology creates more impact in the teaching and learning process nowadays. Improvement of students’ knowledge by using the various technologies like smart class room environment, internet, mobile phones, television programs, use of iPods and etc. are play a very important role. Most of the education institutions used classroom teaching using advanced technologies such as smart class environment, visualization by power point projector and etc. This research work focusses on such technologies used for the improvement of student’s performance using some of the Data Mining (DM) techniques particularly classification and clustering. Information repositories (Educational Data Bases, Data Warehouses) are the source place for collecting study materials and use them for their learning purposes is the number one source for preparation of examinations. Particularly, this research work analyzes about the use of clustering and classification algorithms to enable the student’s performances and their learning capabilities using these modern technologies. During the study period, the student’s family background and their economic status are also play a very important role in their daily activities. These things are not considered in this survey work. A comparative study is carried out in this work by comparing students performance based on their results. The comparison is carried out based on the results of some of the classification and clustering algorithms. Finally, it states that the best algorithm for the improvement of students performance using these algorithms.

A quality management system is only as effective as management’s dedication and insistence to adherence and accountability. Documentation and audit schedules aren’t enough. The system will only be as effective as the people in the organization and the investment in training, inspiring and leading employees as they take responsibility for the system’s operation and results.
The explosion of BP’s Deepwater Horizon rig on April 20th, 2010 ranks as the biggest manmade environmental disaster in US history. The explosion killed 11 on-board workers, and discharged 4 million barrels of oil into the Gulf of Mexico, before the leak was sealed on July 15th 2010. On top of widespread damage to Gulf marine wildlife and tourism industries, BP faced a slew of lawsuits, and forked out over $4.5 billion in fines and payments.
The overarching cause was a quality management failure. Contractors did not test the weak cement around the oil well, which failed to contain hydrocarbons within the reservoir and allowed flammable gas and liquids to flow up the production casing. Technicians misinterpreted fluid pressure tests, and gas passed through the ventilation system into the engine room, paving the way for ignition. After the explosion, the oil rig’s blow-out preventer located on the sea-bed failed to activate and seal the well.
Three corporations were implicated: BP for the flawed well design, Transocean as the owners of the rig, and Halliburton as the contractor who provided the bungled cements.
Question.
1. How will you ensure an efficient and effective quality management processes and procedures in you projects If you were working at BP. Relate all submissions to the case.

A Nurse’s Role in the Systems Development Life Cycle
While the process of developing and implementing a health information technology system may seem overwhelming at first, the systems development life cycle (SDLC) provides organizations with a framework to deliver efficient and effective information systems. Though the SDLC is a common overarching structure for implementing information systems, it is not a one-size-fits-all process. In fact, there are a multitude of approaches that can be used to guide the systems development life cycle. The SDLC approach that is most appropriate for a particular organization will be highly contextual and subject to organization-specific differences.
This week prompts you to analyze the process of selecting an appropriate health information technology and then evaluate techniques that positively impact the steps of the systems development life cycle in an EHR implementation. You also determine what barriers might occur at each stage and how these could be overcome.

A mass-casualty incident (MCI) creates a uniquely challenging manage.docxJospehStull43
A mass-casualty incident (MCI) creates a uniquely challenging management and coordination quagmire. These events can occur as a result of natural disasters, such as a tsunami, earthquake, or hurricane; they can be a result of an accident, such as a ferry sinking during inclement weather; or they can result from an act of violence, such as a terrorist attack like the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing or the attacks of September 11, 2001. In any case, these attacks present a unique challenge to law enforcement, emergency response teams, and government oversight.
As you explore the different methods used to deal with MCIs, as well as the different governmental agencies that may be involved, consider the following:
Assignment Guidelines
In 6-7 paragraphs, address the following:
What federal and state agencies are required to deal with an MCI resulting from a terrorist attack? Why?
How do you distinguish between federal and state authorities for both operational and management functions? Explain.
How do you ensure a fusion of effort between federal and state authorities? Explain.
MCIs resulting from terrorist attacks are considered the purview of law enforcement. This creates a challenge during multijurisdictional MCIs. During MCIs resulting from domestic terrorism, such as the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, what law enforcement agency should have primary jurisdiction? Why?
How should federal law enforcement engage state and local law enforcement for support? Why?
Treating long-term physical and mental health effects following any MCI can prove costly to state governments. How should the federal government work with states to ensure that proper medical and mental health is provided? Explain.
What federal and state organizations should be responsible for these efforts? Why?

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

TECHNOLOGY ACCEPTANCE MODEL
Introduction
IT acceptance has over the last few years received considerable
attention. Various theoretical models have been proposed to
explain the end-users’ acceptance
behavior (Al-Emran, Mezhuyev, & Kamaludin, 2018). Among
the various theoretical models, TAM that was proposed by
Davis is typically applied and empirically
tested. Technology acceptance model (TAM) The technology
acceptance model is an information system theory that is used
in modeling how users normally accept
technology use. This is a model that is considered to be one of
the most influential and commonly used theories. It is therefore
4. very critical in describing the
importance of technological innovations in e-commerce. The
practical system use is the ultimate conclusion that users want
people to be willing to do something
regarding technology, and also need to establish behavioral
intention which may e a factor that would encourage people to
use the innovation. The behavioral
intention is said to be affected by the attitude (A) of the general
understanding of the technology (Nugroho, Bakar, & Ali, 2017).
Many studies have been conducted
globally to investigate TAM’s relevance in understanding e-
learning acceptance among the students. In many regions, e-
learning is adopted for its assumed potential

of facilitating the learning process. The e-learning is believed to
5. having the potential of widening access, reducing costs as well
as improving the quality of education.
According to the analysis, when a new technology is presented
to the consumers, various attributes affect the consumers’
decisions on how and when to use the
technology. The two major attributes that are said t affect the
consumers’ decisions are: · If the consumers recognize the ease
of use · I the consumer recognizes the
technology usefulness
Components of TAM
The model was critical in evaluating the evaluation scheme used
and recommending a new model that was based on three major
concepts. “The first one was
perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use” ( Al-Emran,
Mezhuyev, & Kamaludin, 2018). PEOU is defined as the extent
to which people normally believe that by
using a certain system in e-learning contexts. It is the level to
which a person will believe that by using e-learning, they will e
free of cognitive efforts such as time,
money, and effort. For instance, the extent to which the
technology user believes that the use of a particular technology
will not have added effort and that I will
improve the quality of their work will determine I the user will
go for it or not. People will not see any point to use a
technological application that is taking more of
their energy than they would otherwise expend when not using
the technology. Perceived usefulness on the other hand is the
degree that a person believes that
they would enhance their job performance by using a certain
system. Therefore, the original Technology acceptance model
described behavioral intentions as well as
functions of use in the social influence area. Some of the
aspects addressed include; · Performance output · Result of
6. demonstrability · Recognizes ease of use ·
Image · Job significance · Subjective norms · Voluntariness
Impact of TAM on education setting
The environment of education has a wide variety of potential IT
users that can help in facilitating the transfer of knowledge as
well as the process of learning.
This model, therefore, helped in the improvement in the ease of
use of the technological systems that are used in the education
system. Ease of use improvement is
not only beneficial in influencing the intentions but also in
leading to actual use. This can be through understanding why a
certain technology is approved and why
another one is rejected in the education environment. Through
this model, E-learning has been very essential in that, it helps in
providing the students with flexibility
as well as the capability of learning from anywhere at any given
time and one’s convenience. The students are also able to learn
at their own pace. There are real-time
training and skills evaluations that allow teachers in tracking
their students’ learning which has completely changed the
teachers’ instruction style (Fan, 2020). More
and more students have been allowed to actively engaging in
classroom discussions. Similarly, technology-supported
evaluation is very essential in that it allows
the skills that are created to be tracked in a more systematic
manner which could not have been possible without the use of
technology. Positive feedback is seen to
be very important in improving intrinsic motivation relative to
no feedback. According to this theory, “The users would form
early perceptions of perceived ease of use
of a particular system based on their general beliefs regarding
7. that particular system as well as its usage” (Scherer, Siddiq, &
Tondeur, 2019).

E-Learning, therefore, sets a stage for people who are
geographically apart to come together and learn, collaborate,
and share knowledge more easily. Through the
model, poor internet connectivity, software, and infrastructure
have been addressed since they are some f the things that are
capable of affecting the student’s
willingness of accepting e-learning. A user-friendly system is
very important in helping students who have problems in using
some of the e-learning tools. An
overview of the case study
With the high increase of digitally connected devices and the
growing level of education, education access is at stake in the
use of the new technological systems.
The education standards should equip the staff with the required
knowledge so that they can equally benefit from this
technology. Equipping learners with digital
skills is very fruitful because it produces substantial returns
when it comes to jobs, income as well as many other behavioral
8. benefits. This, therefore, implies that
those people who do not have these digital skills are a very
great danger in the future as they will not stand a chance in
many fields such as I the job market.
Government agencies are making a lot of effort in ensuring that
they are heavily investing in ICT in the learning institutions in
recent times. International studies
have found that emerging innovations have not yet been
completely incorporated into teaching and learning. The study
of the global student evaluation
framework information on the influence of ICT on student
results contributes to the sobering image. Technology-based
advances in education are important in
that they will open up the educational environment both in the
digital environment as well as the physical and social climate.
They are also helping in bringing in new
players as well as investors in the education sector who have a
very great contribution to their thoughts aspirations and dreams
of what quality work can hold. The
education sector is a very crucial partner in any education
process innovation as well as in marketing. In conclusion, we
are today living in modern technology which is
affecting our lives in almost every aspect of our lives. The
educational sector has very big potential with the introduction
of digital technologies. The teaching
technology for instance helps in easily transferring knowledge
to the learners thus becoming an appealing trend.

Running Head: MASLOW'S CRIMINAL JUSTICE

Maslow’s Criminal Justice Administration
Richard Munson
Columbia Southern University
Maslow’s Criminal Justice Administration
Abraham Maslow developed the Maslow’s hierarchy of needs
theory in 1943. The psychology theory is based on human
motivation. His theory
consists of a five-level human needs model which is depicted as
hierarchical levels within a pyramid. Maslow's theory
establishes that needs down in the levels of the
hierarchy must be satisfied before persons can move to needs up
higher. The model five levels include physiological needs,
safety needs, love and belonging
needs, esteem needs and self-actualization needs (Allen &
Sawhney, 2009). Esteem
Love/ belonging Safety Psychological
Self- actualization
Maslow's model could be applied in criminal justice
administration in several ways by focusing on the various
leadership theories. Individuals and businesses can use
Maslow's findings in developing leadership styles that suit their
employee needs. This brings out an organization setting that can
foster personal development and
able to inspire workers to bring out their best Criminal justice

able to inspire workers to bring out their best. Criminal justice
administrators who implement Maslow s theory should focus on
changing their organization s
management practices ensuring the satisfaction of their
employee’s needs. Leadership effectiveness is crucial and of
importance in all branches of criminal justice
administration systems (Cronkhite, 2007). Traits approach in
the theory of leadership involves majoring or characteristics and
personal traits which assumes that their
several traits that an individual has to poses to be a leader. The
various traits include physical traits, personality traits, social
traits, and personal skills and abilities.
The traits approach establishes that successful leaders are extra
ambitious, higher achievement sense and responsibility, high
integrity and honesty levels, more self-
confidence, better people skills and are more motivated.
Criminal justice administrators can apply Maslow’s which
establishes that traits theory largely predicts
whether an individual exhibits leadership trait skill (Cronkhite,
2012). Situation leadership models could base on Maslow’s
theory. This focuses on the moderating
impact of situations on leadership. Through this approach it
establishes different situations require different leadership
styles. This approach builds on leadership
effectiveness is based on contextual factors, contingency or
situational approaches that primarily focuses on moderating the
impact of various situational variables
relationship would bring concerning leader traits, their
behaviours and the outcome. Style approach in leadership
theory could also employ Maslow’s theory, this
majorly focuses on leadership styles and observable styles of
the behaviour of an individual. This approach focused on how
leadership behaviour styles were reacted
to by subordinates, the main idea was to prescribe on how
29. leaders are expected to behave. It established that leaders
change their leadership styles basing on the
situation availed to them rather than adapting and maintaining
their leadership styles across all situations. Criminal justice
administrators must ensure balance
constancy witch change and adaptation predictability (McGuire,
2012). Criminal justice administrators could apply different
theories in criminal justice administration
sectors, among these theories is the theory by Douglas
McGregor who established Theory X and Theory Y. theory Y
established the basis of good management
practice advocating the fact that workers aren't mere pawns in a
company which was believed by organizations of theory X type.
These two theories establish how
leaders’ perceptions on the motivations of their team members
affect the way they behave allowing to adapt to their approach.
For example, theory X and theory Y
has been key in establishing system supportive management has
been effective in the provision of an environment that is work
satisfying in the policing sector for
individual officers which is highly applicable in prosecution,
courts and criminal corrections (Stojkovic et al., 2014).
Maslow's hierarchy of needs application in criminal justice
administration application enables leaders to hone their
leadership styles to be able to suit their followers'
needs. Criminal justice administration leadership isn't different
from other forms of leadership found in various organizations
hence employees are prompted to
garner learner from where it exists and incorporate it into
criminal justice administration systems. Business leaders in
most situations do not have to worry regarding
basic needs such as hunger and thirst unless their employees’
wages are so low or their financial situation is precious in that
those concerns are paramount in their
workforce minds. In the level next up the fulfilment of
30. employees’ safety needs through improving workforce, safety
helps in fulfilling important needs. On the next
level promotion of corporation helps in fulfilling social needs,
which is comparable to letting an employee be aware of their
part of the company’s integral mission.
After the leader has accomplished all is supposed to be done to
meet lower levels needs, then the leader can focus on fostering
individual development. For example,
career guidance is crucial in assisting employees to be able to
achieve their potentials which consequently empowers them by
increasing authority and responsibility.
This has greatly contributed to communication effectiveness in
criminal justice administration (Cronkhite, 2012). According to
Maslow’s beliefs, employees are
motivated when their rights are respected and upheld by the
administrators. This places an extra obligation to the
administrators to act humanely when difficult
criminal decisions are to be made. They should ensure that the
decisions do not make their employees feel threatened.
Employees always work best in an
environment where they are accepted and feel the respect of
their rights from both their seniors and their colleagues. For
example, Criminal justice administration
leadership isn’t different from other forms of leadership found
in various organizations hence employees are prompted to
garner learner from where it exists and
incorporate it into criminal justice administration systems
(Cronkhite, 2007).
