8B_4_Exploring the usability of geographic information

Editor's Notes

  1. Product quality- Ensuring we deliver what the user needs. e.g. in picture, for products made without direct user input can have major issues that are not obvious to designers. Benefits of increased product quality include obvious benefits like increased sales, customer satisfaction and loyalty. And other benefits such as Reduced training costs, increased trust. Cost savings- development costs/time (up to 50%), maintenance, re-design, customer support Cost benefit 1-10/100 . A problem that costs £1 to fix pre-build, it will cost 10 to fix post build and 100 post release. Both feed into OS business strategy and year on year business targets (Profit, efficiency, customer satisfaction)
  2. Identified 124 unique usability issues
  3. First describe each results. Strategic importance- estimated return on invest mate of over %1000. Academic value- results being presented at GISRUK next month and will form the basis of a paper I'm currently writing
