Mike Penny gave a presentation on improving local public services and decision making in Leith. He discussed the benefits of more local priority setting, communication, information, and planning. The presentation proposed recommendations for local services and funding community groups/projects. It also compared the current status quo decision making approach with more innovative options, such as having community groups present ideas directly to community members to get broader community views. Mike provided his contact information for those interested in the local public services discussion.
