people”

 Our character is a collection of our
habits, and habits have a powerful role
in our lives.
 Habits consist of knowledge, skill, and
desire.
 Knowledge allows us to know what to
do, skill gives us the ability to know how
to do it, and desire is the motivation to
do it.
 7 habits approach moves from
dependency (u take care of me ) to
independence (I take of myself) to
interdependence (we can do something
better together).
 First 3 habits deal with independence
while 4,5,6 deal with interdependence. 7th
deals with habit of renewal

 Habit1 - be proactive
 Habit2- begin with the end in mind
 Habit3- Put first things first
 Habit4- think win win
 Habit 5- seek first to understand and then
be understood
 Habit6- synergy
 Habit7- Sharpen the saw(renewal)
 The word proactive means that we are
responsible for our own lives.
 Our behaviour is a function of our
decisions, not our conditions.
 Change starts from within, and highly
effective people make the decision to
improve their lives through the things that
they can influence rather than by simply
reacting to external forces.
 Develop a principle-centered personal
mission statement. Extend the mission
statement into long-term goals based on
personal principles.
 Principle-centered people try to :
Stand apart from the emotion of a situation
and from other factors that would act on
them. Make proactive choices after
evaluating options.
 Habit 1 says that you are the programmer.
Habit 2 says to write the program.
 This habit says to run the program.
 Spend time doing what fits into your
personal mission, observing the proper
balance between production and building
production capacity.
 Win/Win means that agreements or
solutions are mutually beneficial, mutually
satisfying.
 In cases where a "win/win" deal cannot be
achieved, accept the fact that agreeing to
make "no deal" may be the best alternative.
 In developing an organizational culture, be
sure to reward win/win behavior among
employees.
 First seek to understand the other person,
and only then try to be understood.
 Listening with the intent to understand is
called empathic listening.
 Empathic listening is so powerful because it
gives you accurate data to work with.
 Synergy means that the whole is greater
than the sum of its parts
 Deeply understanding each other becomes
the stepping stones
 It takes place when two or more people
produce more together than the sum of what
they could have produces separately.
 Its daily process of renewing for four
dimensions of our nature : Physical,
Mental, Spiritual and Social / Emotional.
 These four dimensions sustain and increase
our capacities and help us discipline our
mind, body and spirit.

  • 2.  Our character is a collection of our habits, and habits have a powerful role in our lives.  Habits consist of knowledge, skill, and desire.  Knowledge allows us to know what to do, skill gives us the ability to know how to do it, and desire is the motivation to do it.
  • 3.  7 habits approach moves from dependency (u take care of me ) to independence (I take of myself) to interdependence (we can do something better together).  First 3 habits deal with independence while 4,5,6 deal with interdependence. 7th deals with habit of renewal

  • 7.  The word proactive means that we are responsible for our own lives.  Our behaviour is a function of our decisions, not our conditions.  Change starts from within, and highly effective people make the decision to improve their lives through the things that they can influence rather than by simply reacting to external forces.
  • 8.  Develop a principle-centered personal mission statement. Extend the mission statement into long-term goals based on personal principles.  Principle-centered people try to : Stand apart from the emotion of a situation and from other factors that would act on them. Make proactive choices after evaluating options.
  • 9.  Habit 1 says that you are the programmer. Habit 2 says to write the program.  This habit says to run the program.  Spend time doing what fits into your personal mission, observing the proper balance between production and building production capacity.
  • 10.  Win/Win means that agreements or solutions are mutually beneficial, mutually satisfying.  In cases where a "win/win" deal cannot be achieved, accept the fact that agreeing to make "no deal" may be the best alternative.  In developing an organizational culture, be sure to reward win/win behavior among employees.
  • 11.  First seek to understand the other person, and only then try to be understood.  Listening with the intent to understand is called empathic listening.  Empathic listening is so powerful because it gives you accurate data to work with.
  • 12.  Synergy means that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts  Deeply understanding each other becomes the stepping stones  It takes place when two or more people produce more together than the sum of what they could have produces separately.
  • 13.  Its daily process of renewing for four dimensions of our nature : Physical, Mental, Spiritual and Social / Emotional.  These four dimensions sustain and increase our capacities and help us discipline our mind, body and spirit.
