The document describes the fourteen stages of spiritual progress in Jainism. It explains that souls transmigrate due to karma and progress through the stages by developing right belief and abstaining from harmful activities. The early stages involve various degrees of right and wrong beliefs. Later stages involve developing self-restraint, controlling passions, and ultimately reaching omniscience and liberation in the final stages.
The document discusses Jain meditation practices, specifically kayotsarg. It explains that karma causes suffering by influencing the subtle karma body and taijjas body, which then impact the physical body. Kayotsarg aims to eliminate karma through relaxation, awareness of the separateness of the soul and body, and contemplation of positive virtues. The key steps are relaxing the muscles into stillness, focusing inward, experiencing non-attachment, and using auto-suggestions to establish compassion and other virtues. The goal is to reverse the karmic process and purify the soul through this meditative practice.
1. The document discusses the Jain concepts of influx (asrava) of karma, stoppage (samvara) of karma influx, and falling off (nirjara) of karma through penance and purification of the soul.
2. It identifies the primary causes of karma influx as perverse beliefs, non-abstinence, spiritual remissness, passions, and mental/physical/vocal activities.
3. Samvara or stoppage of karma influx involves developing right faith, abstaining from harmful activities, maintaining spiritual alertness, freeing oneself from passions, and achieving stillness of mind, speech, and body.
1. The lecture discusses the inherent qualities of the soul (atma), which include enlightened knowledge, view, energy, and bliss. However, these qualities are obscured by karmic matter that binds to the soul.
2. There are eight main types of karma that obscure the soul's qualities and determine future experiences. Karmic matter influences the soul through the subtle and gross bodies.
3. The cycle of karma involves the fruition of karma, resulting in primal drives and expressions that lead to more karmic influx and bondage. This delusion prevents awareness of one's true soul nature and leads to transmigration among different forms.
The document describes the concept of "leshyas", which are the colors or vibrations that individuals radiate based on their mental state or "culture of the mind". There are six types of leshyas - Krishna (black), Neel (blue), Kapot (brown), Tejo (red), Padma (yellow), and Shukla (white) - representing different mental cultures from most negative to most positive. The document explains each leshya in terms of the associated mental qualities and consequences. It encourages readers to practice non-violence in order to develop a positive mental culture and radiate the highest leshya of Shukla.

Seven Steps to Self Mastery-A journey through the chakras- Steps 6 & 7
In Step 6 the focus is on the Third Eye Chakra. Ajna Chakra is the seat of the soul, this is where your soul resides. It is in the centre of your head, @ the same level as the eyebrows. This is your control centre, the Pineal Gland, which is light sensitive, determines how you view and interact with life. This is also the place which brings in and translates the higher energetic frequencies for your experiential manifestations. It is here @ the Ajna that you can develop the extra sensory perceptions.
Step 7, the Crown chakra is the final chakra associated with the body, it is above the head and is your connection to your Spiritual energy. It is known as the wisdom centre- this is the where you connect with the Greater Unity consciousness, here is where you start to see the bigger picture and your role in the world from a Universal perspective. You lose the sense of I and instead focus on service to humanity and your fellow beings.

The document discusses the three modes of material nature - goodness, passion, and ignorance. It provides descriptions of how each mode conditions living entities and influences their behaviors, activities, understandings, and experiences. Some key points mentioned include the three modes leading to different planetary systems, influencing food preferences, work orientations, types of happiness, and levels of knowledge or misunderstanding.
This document summarizes a retreat held by the Doshi Brothers for the MA/NE YJA in the Poconos in February 2013. The objectives of the retreat were to discuss concepts of man (mind), vachan (speech), and kaya (actions) as well as the six leshyas or mental dispositions. Activities included acting out scenarios to demonstrate the leshyas and a discussion on how to promote positive mind, speech, and actions. The document also covers the 18 papasthanaks or sins and concludes by thanking the organizers and attendees of the retreat.
The document discusses the three modes of material nature - goodness, passion and ignorance - and how they influence living entities. It states that the living entity thinks themselves the doer of activities due to being under the modes of material nature, but it is actually nature performing the actions. It also discusses how transcending the modes of material nature and achieving Krishna consciousness can free one from their influence.
Chakra healing through opening chakras tends to eradicate chronic lifestyle diseases like obesity, eye vision problems, constipation, sex problems, back pains, breathing problems, heart condition, hormonal imbalance, hypertension, spondylitis and chronic headaches to name a few.
True understanding is one that produces results. All other understanding is unfruitful.
Mind, intellect, chit and ego should remain in brahmacharya. And if mind, intellect, chit and ego turn towards brahmacharya, then the external sexuality will shed off automatically.
The illusion of sex is such that it will sink all, even the one who thinks that he has no attachment to anything in the world. This illusion of sex has sunk great sages and masters from tremendous spiritual heights.
When semen is preserved, it gets reabsorbed by the body and stored in the brain as Ojas Shakti or Spiritual Power. The vital force is closely linked with the nervous system. Hence, it is vitally necessary to preserve it carefully if one desires to have strong nerves. Girls, too, suffer great loss through having unchaste thoughts and giving way to lust. Vital nervous energy is lost. There is a corresponding loss of Veerya (vital fluid) in them as well.
Kamma refers to intentional actions through body, speech, and mind that have moral or immoral consequences. Every action has a corresponding reaction or result. Ignorance and craving are the root causes of kamma. Kamma is not fatalistic, as one can divert the course of their kamma through effort. The five niyamas describe natural laws governing physical and mental phenomena. One is responsible for one's kamma and circumstances, but these can also be transcended by eliminating craving and ignorance.
We live in a culture dominated by the mind, where the body, emotions, intuition are neglected. In this slideshare we explore what wisdom your body holds for you. How amazing would your life be once you incorporate this underutilised resource into your life. We begin by exploring your relationship with your body.

To raise up the physical to the spiritual is Brahmacharya, for by the meeting of the two the energy which starts from one and produces the other is enhanced and fulfills itself. This is the metaphysical theory. The application depends on a right understanding of the physical and psychological conformation of the human receptacle of energy.
The document discusses the chakra system of the human body. It describes the 7 major chakras located along the spinal cord, starting from the base (Mooladhara) to the crown (Sahasrara). Each chakra is associated with physical organs, qualities, and disturbances. When balanced through practices like meditation, the chakras are said to awaken innate human wisdom, creativity, morality, and compassion.
This document provides a summary and analysis of chapter 16 from the Bhagavad Gita. It begins by outlining the key topics covered in the chapter - the classification of humanity as either divine or demoniac, and the enumeration of their respective qualities and ways of conduct. The summary then analyzes the divine qualities such as fearlessness, purity, charity and renunciation. It also examines the demoniac qualities like hypocrisy, arrogance, anger and ignorance. The document concludes by stating that the divine nature leads to liberation while the demoniac leads to bondage.
Celibacy 1 - The Detailed Analysis of SexualityPardeep Sehgal
Brahmacharya means control of the Veerya. The vital force or Veerya is preserved only by one who is established in the practice of Brahmacharya. The vital fluid or semen is lost and wasted during sexual indulgence.
From food comes juice or chyle; from chyle comes blood and flesh; from flesh comes fat; from fat comes bones; from bones come marrow. Lastly, from marrow comes semen.
The Veerya comes out of the very marrow concealed in the bones. It is found in a subtle state in all the cells of the body. Mark here how precious the semen is! It is the last essence of food. It is the essence of essences.
In Yoga Shastra it is stated: "The falling of semen brings death; the preservation of it gives life." 'The nemesis of reproduction is death. The sexual act is essentially katabolic (or a movement towards death) in the male, and in parturition of the offspring it is katabolic for the female.'
"The future is for the nations who are chaste". Tom Mann
The document provides tips for breaking free from bondage and achieving freedom. It discusses the six enemies that bind us like lust, pride, greed and anger. It explains the three modes of material nature - goodness, passion, and ignorance - and how to elevate oneself from ignorance to passion to goodness through regulated behavior and chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra. The final sentences encourage the reader to follow spiritual principles and give their heart to God in order to transcend material conditioning and become truly free.
The document discusses the Hindu doctrine of reincarnation. It explains that a soul or "jiva" transmigrates between physical bodies based on karma, or past deeds. Good and bad actions create "vasanas" or subtle impressions that determine the type and quality of life in the next birth. Karma can be of three types - past actions not yet experienced (sanchit), those currently being experienced (prarabdha), and present actions (agami). Reincarnation explains why some good people suffer while bad people prosper in the current life.
Scientists consider that 40 drops of blood form one drop of this vital fluid. It is a sort of white blood. When we lose even a few drops of blood, we are panic stricken, although it is much less valuable than the vital fluid. We, however, waste this vital fluid, which is the king of vitality, recklessly for the pleasure of a few seconds.
The document discusses mental health and well-being. It defines mental health as having a positive outlook and being able to meet life's challenges. It also discusses self-esteem and how it is formed through feedback from others. Maslow's hierarchy of needs is explained as having five levels: physiological needs, safety needs, love and belonging, esteem, and self-actualization. Personality, emotions, and defense mechanisms are also overviewed.
Student stress managment short versionJitesh Patil
The document discusses stress, its causes and effects, and strategies for managing it. It defines stress as the body's nonspecific response to demands and describes how stress exists on a continuum from no stress to extreme distress. Distress can negatively impact physical and mental health. Sources of distress include both external factors like life events and daily hassles, as well as internal factors like negative thinking patterns. Symptoms of distress are described. Strategies for managing stress involve lifestyle changes like exercise and sleep, cognitive changes like reframing thoughts, and situational changes like time management. Relaxation techniques and brief medication use may also help in reducing distress.

Psychological health involves effectively dealing with life's challenges and responding positively to environmental changes. Psychologically healthy people accept themselves, have realistic outlooks, function independently, form relationships, and cope with change. The nervous system receives and interprets messages through electrical and chemical signals, producing thoughts, emotions, and responses. Personality is influenced by biological, cultural, social, and psychological factors and can be understood through theories like Freud's framework, Erikson's stages of development, and Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Psychological disorders are prevalent and treatable conditions that interfere with adjustment and growth.

PGx Analysis in VarSeq: A User’s PerspectiveGolden Helix
Since our release of the PGx capabilities in VarSeq, we’ve had a few months to gather some insights from various use cases. Some users approach PGx workflows by means of array genotyping or what seems to be a growing trend of adding the star allele calling to the existing NGS pipeline for whole genome data. Luckily, both approaches are supported with the VarSeq software platform. The genotyping method being used will also dictate what the scope of the tertiary analysis will be. For example, are your PGx reports a standalone pipeline or would your lab’s goal be to handle a dual-purpose workflow and report on PGx + Diagnostic findings.
The purpose of this webcast is to:
Discuss and demonstrate the approaches with array and NGS genotyping methods for star allele calling to prep for downstream analysis.
Following genotyping, explore alternative tertiary workflow concepts in VarSeq to handle PGx reporting.
Moreover, we will include insights users will need to consider when validating their PGx workflow for all possible star alleles and options you have for automating your PGx analysis for large number of samples. Please join us for a session dedicated to the application of star allele genotyping and subsequent PGx workflows in our VarSeq software.

GASTROINTESTINAL INFECTIONS AND GASTRITIS
Osvaldo Bernardo Muchanga
Gastrointestinal Infections
GASTROINTESTINAL INFECTIONS result from the ingestion of pathogens that cause infections at the level of this tract, generally being transmitted by food, water and hands contaminated by microorganisms such as E. coli, Salmonella, Shigella, Vibrio cholerae, Campylobacter, Staphylococcus, Rotavirus among others that are generally contained in feces, thus configuring a FECAL-ORAL type of transmission.
Among the factors that lead to the occurrence of gastrointestinal infections are the hygienic and sanitary deficiencies that characterize our markets and other places where raw or cooked food is sold, poor environmental sanitation in communities, deficiencies in water treatment (or in the process of its plumbing), risky hygienic-sanitary habits (not washing hands after major and/or minor needs), among others.
These are generally consequences (signs and symptoms) resulting from gastrointestinal infections: diarrhea, vomiting, fever and malaise, among others.
The treatment consists of replacing lost liquids and electrolytes (drinking drinking water and other recommended liquids, including consumption of juicy fruits such as papayas, apples, pears, among others that contain water in their composition).
To prevent this, it is necessary to promote health education, improve the hygienic-sanitary conditions of markets and communities in general as a way of promoting, preserving and prolonging PUBLIC HEALTH.
Gastritis and Gastric Health
Gastric Health is one of the most relevant concerns in human health, with gastrointestinal infections being among the main illnesses that affect humans.
Among gastric problems, we have GASTRITIS AND GASTRIC ULCERS as the main public health problems. Gastritis and gastric ulcers normally result from inflammation and corrosion of the walls of the stomach (gastric mucosa) and are generally associated (caused) by the bacterium Helicobacter pylor, which, according to the literature, this bacterium settles on these walls (of the stomach) and starts to release urease that ends up altering the normal pH of the stomach (acid), which leads to inflammation and corrosion of the mucous membranes and consequent gastritis or ulcers, respectively.
In addition to bacterial infections, gastritis and gastric ulcers are associated with several factors, with emphasis on prolonged fasting, chemical substances including drugs, alcohol, foods with strong seasonings including chilli, which ends up causing inflammation of the stomach walls and/or corrosion. of the same, resulting in the appearance of wounds and consequent gastritis or ulcers, respectively.
Among patients with gastritis and/or ulcers, one of the dilemmas is associated with the foods to consume in order to minimize the sensation of pain and discomfort.
Are you looking for a long-lasting solution to your missing tooth?
Dental implants are the most common type of method for replacing the missing tooth. Unlike dentures or bridges, implants are surgically placed in the jawbone. In layman’s terms, a dental implant is similar to the natural root of the tooth. It offers a stable foundation for the artificial tooth giving it the look, feel, and function similar to the natural tooth.
Summer is a time for fun in the sun, but the heat and humidity can also wreak havoc on your skin. From itchy rashes to unwanted pigmentation, several skin conditions become more prevalent during these warmer months.
