2. 7) Was Kalamandir the right agency for implementing
the rural tourism project at Amadubi?
'Kalamandir is an organization that believes in
preserving and restoring tribal art and culture.
Kalamandir is engaged in nurturing a sense of
aesthetics about tribal art among individuals,
communities, organizations, and social groups.
Kalamandir seeks to promote greater interaction and
understanding amongst urban societies of the tribal
traditions, their age-old customs and rituals, their faiths
and values, their songs and dances, murals and martial
arts, their love for nature and zest for life, their ballads
and folk lore, in order to re-discover the wealth and the
national relevance of the country’s tribal traditions and
rich heritage. Kalamandir believes that rural and tribal
populations are in the danger of losing their identities
and cultures due to industrialisation and urbanisation.
Kalamandir therefore engages in different ways to
protect and empower rural and tribal communities.'

3. 1) Who are the stakeholders in this project?
There were several stakeholders in the Amadubi
project -
 The UNDP,
 Minister of tourism,
 Government of India,
 Government of Jharkhand,
 District commissioner,all those associated with the
Kalamandir, NGO.

4. 8) Who should implement this project?
 The ministry of tourism and Government of India
approved the rural tourism project in Amadubi.
 The Kalamandir should implement this project
because as well understand about the rural of
Amadubi with the collaboration and understanding
of Minister of tourism,
 Government of India,
 Government of Jharkhand
9) What were the major problems faced by the
Kalamandir?
 The management issues that were faced feasibility
and financial viability,
 lack of project and infrastructure planning,
 Lack role of government agencies.
 The villagers did not know anything about the
project.
 Lack of electricity supply.

5. 10) Current state of the Amadubi rural tourism site?
 This place is worth every bit if you appreciate local
culture and nature as well. The stay here was very
relaxing, away from the hustle of the city. Although
we visited at a very humid time of the year, the
night was pretty cool.
 The tribal dance was very appreciative and so were
the patkar painters whom we visited the next day.
Do try the 'Chicken Pitha',
 Its something different and truly delicious.
Its a very doable trip for 1-2 days and quite
enjoyable, but I'd advice to go in a group, as
amenities like Television is not available there and
boredom can be avoided during the late evening
time.
5) Should rural tourism project be located in a city
[Jamshedpur] or in the villages [away from the
city]?
 As meanwhile they mention the title itself the rural
tourism project so they need to locate in the
village but here after analyzing the case I was
thought that the project in rural area is not good
why because of so many issues and the challenges.

6. 6) Did the development of Amadubi rural
tourism project continue according to standard
project management technique?
 The development of the project is not possible
according to the budget allocated by the
Government and the project implementation is
difficult because of the many quarries and allocated
budget for the project is the 50 lacks and they are
facing the problems like a electricity, water and the
toilets.
