• Data Analysis Facility (DAF)
– The DAF is a tool for the analysis of ATC and system related data recorded by the
REC. DAF consists of a graphical Human Machine Interface (HMI) that allows the
operator to enter commands and view data, and a group of background
processes that run continuously to collect and process data. Data collected and
calculated by DAF is stored in a COTS relational database management system
(INGRES). Using this data DAF can produce reports for analysis and billing data.
– Data stored by DAF is divided into two logically separate databases. Although
the databases both acquire data from REC, the method of collection, use, and
longevity of the data differs substantially between the two databases (statistic &
analityc).
Data Analysis Facility (DAF)
