2. Introduction
• Integrated location-based service applications like Apple’s iBeacon and
Google Beacon are popular.
• Wi-Fi is not only used in home and offices . The usage of its application is
beyond this tradition.
• Instead, Wi-Fi, ZigBee, radio frequency identification (RFID), and Bluetooth
low energy (BLE) are preferred more for indoor positioning studies.

• iBeacons is a BLE profile specification formalised by Apple.
• It supports all device that has Bluetooth not only iPhone. It also supports
android and Windows.
• It wirelessly transfer information to users.

6. Conclusion
• While there is traction with mobile beacons, investors should be looking hard
at not just if, but how the technology has affected performance for those
companies that have adopted it thus far, and what those retailers did to
successfully implement mobile beacons.
