Key challenges discussed include identifying barriers and opportunities for children's rights across perspectives and continents, debating standardized vs. contextual cross-cultural research approaches, and addressing research priorities, training needs, and impact. The meeting brings together researchers from various regions and organizations like UNICEF, the EU, and LSE to advance the research agenda on these issues.
Use of Community Health Data for Shared Accountability
At the Fifth Global Symposium on Health Systems Research in Liverpool in October, RHINO hosted interactive panel which discussed innovative approaches used in low-to-middle income countries to strengthen routine health information systems with the greater goal of achieving universal health coverage (UHC). Panelists discussed: creating community accountability; using human-centered design to build a culture of data use; electronic tools for data management and progress tracking toward UHC; and the Data Use Partnerships in Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Malwai.
