This document lists the annual events and festivities that take place each month in the Orinoquia region of Colombia, which includes the departments of Arauca, Casanare, Meta, and Vichada. It details various cultural festivals celebrating music, livestock, agriculture, religion, and local traditions that occur throughout the year, such as the Rice Festival in Aguazul in January, the International Festival of The Plains Music Arpa de Oro in Saravena in April, the Saint Lawrence Feast in Arauquita in August, and the International Joropo Festival in Villavicencio in November.
The festival lasts about 10 days and events include concerts and dances featuring traditional music and regional folk costumes. A fireworks show and a children’s parade where the participants wear colourful and elaborate costumes are other significant moments.
