University, Lucknow, India. An astute educationist,
she helped to establish Era's Lucknow Medical

pharmacy. She is also the Director Academics of the
Era’s Lucknow Medical College and the Academic
Dean, American University of Barbados. She has

Prof. Dr Basem Khalil Nile Al-Saidi
Basim K. Nile was born in Iraq. He received his B.Sc.Eng. from University of
Technology in Iraq in 1991. He received an M.Sc. in Building and Structural
Engineering from the University of Technology, Iraq in 1995, and a PhD
degree in Building and Structural Engineering from University of
Technology in 2003. He held the position of Dean of the College of
Engineering at the University of Kerbala during the period of 2015-2019. He
is currently the President of Kerbala University. His research interests
include sanitary engineering and infrastructure and has more than 40
research in his specialty.

Dean of the College of Medicine
Dr. Al-Zubaidi graduated from the College of Medicine in 1985, Al
Mustansiriyah University
In 1999, he recieved the Certificate of the Arab Board of Medicine (Internal
Medicine). From 2003 - 2008 he served as a Faculty member, Department
of Medicine, College of Medicine, University of Babylon where he served
as a lecturer in Internal Medicine, College of Dentistry. In 2008, he began
his role as a faculty member, Department of Medicine, College of
Medicine, University of Kerbela.
From 2009 - 2011, he was the Head of the examination committee. From
2010 - 2011 he served as Head of the pharmacology department. From
2011 - 2018 he served as Dean, College of Medicine, University of Kerbela.
From 2018 - 2019 he served as a Professor of Medicine at Skill lab and
since 2019 he has served as Dean of the College of Medicine, University of
Kerbela.

9. Dean of Al-Sadiq International University Prof.Dr. Husain Shabeeh
Dr Shabeeh is a Consultant Cardiologist in London. His NHS practice is based at one of London’s
premier teaching hospitals, King’s College Hospital and also at Croydon University Hospital,
where he is Head of Cardiology. He has private practice based in Harley Street, London’s famous
global hub for healthcare.
Dr Shabeeh qualified from King’s College London with numerous prizes. He trained at world
renowned cardiac centres in London including The Royal Brompton Hospital, Harefield Hospital
and King’s College Hospital. He also has a rich academic and research background and was
awarded 2 competitive scholarships from the British Heart Foundation and completed a PhD in
Cardiovascular Medicine from King’s College London. He has multiple peer-reviewed publications
including his 2017 paper on blood pressure which made the front pages of national newspapers,
and has delivered many national and international presentations. Dr Shabeeh also has an interest
in using modern technology in healthcare to improve models of care. He is a Digital Pioneer
Fellow with Digital Health London and is a clinical advisor for many digital health companys.
Dr Shabeeh has been part of the IMI UK Board of Directors for many years and has helped
organise many events in the UK including recent webinars.

Medicine, Cert Ed, FHEA After training in hospital medicine, John
entered the world of General Practice. John was also a GP
trainer, GP tutor, Macmillan GP Facilitator in Palliative Medicine
and part-time lecturer in general practice at the University of
Manchester. He developed his academic career in medical
education as Associate Professor in the Leeds Institute of
Medical Education, University of Leeds and was appointed
Professor in Medical Education at the University of Sheffield
before moving to Edge Hill University in 2016 as Professor of
Medical Education.

metabolism as a Medical Research Council Training Fellow. Pharmacological
and medical activities combined and when appointed as a senior lecturer and
honorary consultant physician in Sheffield developed a clinical service for
patients with neuroendocrine tumours. Interest in medical education resulted in
helping to create medical schools in Malaysia, Pakistan and Australia as well as
advising universities in Oman, Egypt, Sweden, the West Indies, Libya, Yemen,
Thailand and Singapore and appointment as Professor of Medical Education at
the University of Sheffield and Head of the Academic Unit of Medical Education
in the Medical School.

Department of Medicine at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, London she finished her
PLAB 1& 2 exams after achieving a high grade in the professional English tests IELTS.
She has a great interest in conducting research, having worked in public health
medicine at Wandsworth, London through this appointment and attending research
methodology courses at Guy’s Hospital acquired her the required skills to conduct
research and literature reviews.
Dr. Darwish them continued her speciality training (ST- ST3) in Medicine in the south
Thames at St Georges Hospital, St Helier & Epsom Hospitals and as ST4, ST5 in
Barnet and Royal Free Hospitals with interest in Diabetes and Endocrinology. She is a
member of Royal College of Physicians MRCP (UK). Her training in a renowned Hospital
in London makes her very passionate about medical education. She is currently
appointed as Assistant Professor in Medicine, Kerbala College of Medicine. She is
published in diabetes, endocrine, respiratory, communicable diseases and medical
education.
