1. The Demonstration School of Ramkhamhaeng University
The Demonstration School of Ramkhamhaeng University is under the supervision of the Faculty
of Education, Ramkhamhaeng University. It is located at 1086 Ramkhamhaeng Rd, Huamark, Bangkapi
district, Bangkok, 10240, Thailand.
In 1971, the Ramkhamhaeng University Council approved a plan to establish the demonstration
school to be an institute of education and training for youths.
1972 was the year for preparing the location for construction, and 1973 was the first year of
enrolment. Formerly, the school offered co-education from Matthayom 1 – 5 (grade 7-11). Later, in
1988, the school included Matthayom 6 (grade 12) in accordance with the national high school
curriculum of the Ministry of Education. In 2006, the school introduced the English program of
secondary education for helping students to develop their English skill by learning with the native
speakers.

Education is the foundation of life and social development.
Objectives
1. To be the faculty of education’s demonstration school for practicum.
2. To support the research and development of students and faculty members at Ramkhamhaeng
University.
3. To produce high-quality and capable high school students.

2. Extracurricular Actives
Sports
Year 7-12 are important, exciting and formative years. During this time students need to be constantly
challenged and engaged. Sport is an important part of school life, while a wide selection of cultural
options allows students to express their creative talents.
Annually, the school always has traditional Games called ‘Satit Samakkhee Games’. It is the games that
challenge among 14 demonstration schools in Thailand. There are 16 sports in the games such as
football, basketball, volleyball, etc. DS.RU has won the championship of Satit Samakkhee Games for 5
years.
Music
In our school, there is a brass band for supporting students who are interested in music. Our brass band
always has an opportunity to welcome Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn in
commencement ceremony of Ramkhamhaeng University.
Camps
From year 7-12, the school always offers one camp per year and there are different purposes in each
camp, for example, the camp in year 11 is a harmonious camp or in year 12 is a team-working camp.
