CrowdStrike researchers have identified a HijackLoader (aka IDAT Loader) sample that employs sophisticated evasion techniques to enhance the complexity of the threat. HijackLoader, an increasingly popular tool among adversaries for deploying additional payloads and tooling, continues to evolve as its developers experiment and enhance its capabilities.
In their analysis of a recent HijackLoader sample, CrowdStrike researchers discovered new techniques designed to increase the defense evasion capabilities of the loader. The malware developer used a standard process hollowing technique coupled with an additional trigger that was activated by the parent process writing to a pipe. This new approach, called "Interactive Process Hollowing", has the potential to make defense evasion stealthier.

Who was Koko?
Koko, a friendly gorilla, was well-known for being able to use GSL “Gorilla Sing Language”. She was born in Woodside, California
and soon taken to San Francisco Zoo. In the 1970´s, Francine Patterson, a student from the University of Illinois, began to look for
a baby gorilla for her project on animal communication. She visited the zoo and met Koko, who was then called by the Japanese
name of Hanabiko. Patterson has written about Koko’s success in several books and magazines.
Koko learnt sign language quickly by following Patterson’s instructions. Some of her words were “food,” “drink,” and “more.” With
years of practice, she got to know about 1,000 signs and understand about 2,000 words spoken to her in English. But she wasn’t
alone! Michael, a gorilla who shared his life with Koko from 1976 until 2000, learned and understood 500 signs with the help of
both Koko and Patterson.
Koko even communicated her wish to have babies, so for her birthday in 1984 she got a kitten called “All Ball”. She was a lovely
parent and loved the kitten as if it were a real baby gorilla, so she received two more kittens. Koko was visited by popular actors all
the time, including Robin Williams and Fred Rogers from Mister Rogers’ Neighbors, a famous TV show.

There’s a fun traditional water festival every Thai New Year that people want to go to! It’s the unusual “Songkran Festival”,
also called the “Water Festival”. It’s the most expensive in Thailand, but it’s known for the fantastic things people can do in it.
Songkran is in April, and it’s open to everyone. For 3-5 days, people from rural areas who are working in the capital go back
home with their children for the festival; they spend time with their parents who they haven’t seen for a long time. People
throw water on their heads to have an excellent year, with money and without problems.

The Empire State Building
The Empire State Building is the top place to see for first-time visitors to New York City. This tall building was part of a competition
between New York City businessmen Walter Chrysler and John Raskob for the title of the world’s tallest building. Engineer William
Laab was paid to produce the plans for the building, and John Raskob and Pierre du Pond’s company paid for the project.
Two other projects in competition for the title, 40 Wall Street and the Chrysler Building, were under construction when work on the
Empire State Building began on March 17, 1930. This project was completed on April 11, 1931. However, due to the great
economic crisis of that time, lots of the offices in the building were not rented for several years.
When visiting the Empire State Building, prepare for long ticket lines on the first floor, especially on weekends. You should wear
warm clothes if it’s cold and windy, so check the temperature before you go. Tourists buy one ticket to visit the 86th floor and
another one to the 102nd floor, which offers interesting 360-degree views of the city. Book your tickets online to save money. To go
up to the higher floor, tickets are only available on the 80th floor, where you can learn about the history of the building.

It’s been over a year now since I have phoned my family, connected to a social network, sent text
messages, checked e-mails or taken photographs. During that time, I’ve been living and working on a farm
