Juan Carlos immigrated from Mexico in 1st grade and was initially placed in a submersion program with no translation support. He has progressed to an intermediate English proficiency level (Level 3). The document analyzes Juan's academic and language development journey and provides recommendations to support ELL students, including the implementation of smart boards with bilingual capabilities.
