3. Geo thermal energy
geothermal energy is the heat energy
stored deep inside the earth
Geothermal comes from two greek words
geo means 'earth' and thermal means 'heat'
the volcanic action takes in many places on
the surface of earth which supports various
theories(earth has a molten core)
4. Geothermal energy is found in the form
of heat content of hot dry rocks.
Initially hot zones, deep inside the earth are
identified and
the heat energy from these hot zones is tapped
by drilling deep holes
inside the earth.
To extract the energy, cold water is forced through
one of the bore holes which leads it down to the
hot arears of the earth.
Working Principle Of Geothermal
5. Due to high heat ,water gets converted into steam.
This high pressure and high temperature steam is drawn
to the surface of the earth through the other bore holes.
It is then passed through a seperator so as to remove any
sediments or impurities collected in the steam .
The purified steam can then be passed through a superheated or
directly to the turbine for generating electricity.
After doing work, the steam is passed to the condenser where
it gets condensed to liquid and the cycle repeats.

7. DISADVANTAGES ADVANTAGES
It is renewable
Geothermal energy is more
environmentally friendly
than non-renewables
It is reliable
There is a massive reserve of
energy
Low emission generation.
generates waste
reservoirs require
proper management
it's location-specific
high initial cost
can cause
earthquakes in
extreme cases.
