Here are some tips for creating an effective questionnaire:
- Keep it short - no more than 10 questions to avoid respondent fatigue.
- Use a mix of closed-ended (multiple choice, rating scale) and open-ended questions. Closed are easier to analyze but open allow for more nuanced responses.
- Make questions clear, concise and unbiased. Test them on others first.
- Start with basic demographic questions like age, gender etc. to understand the sample.
- Ask questions that directly relate to your research goals - what people like/dislike about POS, how they interact with them etc.
- Use a rating scale for questions about preferences, importance of features etc.
