1. HSG in Singapore
The University of St. Gallen carries out
Asia-related academic activities at its
Singapore subsidiary – the St. Gallen
Institute of Management in Asia (SGI-
HSG). In collaboration with the
University of St. Gallen, the SGI
conducts research, offers courses, and
provides services in Singapore. In
partnership with local universities, it
allows students from St. Gallen to
complete part of their coursework in
Singapore. Established in 1997, the HSG
Alumni Singapore Club currently has
over180 members. It organizes regular
events such as after-work drinks and
dinner and St. Gallen Public Lectures
given by professors visiting Singapore.
ETH in Singapore
The Singapore-ETH Centre for Global
Environmental Sustainability (SEC) was
established in Singapore in 2010 as a
joint initiative between ETH Zurich and
Singapore’s National Research
Foundation. The SEC is based on NRF’s
C R E AT E c a m p u s a n d s t u d i e s
problems which are of particular
importance for Singapore and other big
South-East Asian cities. Two active
programs are the "Future Cities
Laboratory" and "Future Resilient
Systems" . The ETH Alumni Singapore
chapter was founded in 2010 and
currently has 60-70 members working in
different sectors including research,
business, finance and the civil service.
