The project '3i – see, capture, place!' aims to engage local communities in preserving and researching regional heritage through collaboration among several libraries in Latvia. Developed as part of a training program, it promotes creativity, volunteerism, and the documentation of local history via multimedia efforts and strengthening librarians' capacities. Funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the initiative runs from February to December 2011 and enhances local pride while improving library resources and services.
