technology landscape look like in
20208 A.D.?

3. Critical mass theory
Critical mass theory is when a group of people have some
type of technology, which in turn makes other people want to
have the same thing as them. A smaller group of people are
able to influence the remaining population so that
technology is able to grow.
For example, if you see people with smartphones using social
media and you do not have one, you will want to get a
smartphone so you don’t feel left out.

4. The principle of relative constancy
The Principle of Relative Constancy refers to that a portion
of people’s disposable income that is spent on media, has
remained constant over time.
For example, if a new technology is implemented it must
obtain some of the revenue from the competition.

5. Uses And Gratification Theory
The Uses and Gratification Theory is a unique approach that
analyzes why and how society/people use media instead of how
media uses them. It is a audience-based approach to better
understand mass media.
For example, someone may be involved with media to keep up
to date with what is going on in society to apply it to
their lives.

6. Social Learning Theory/Social Cognitive Theory
Both of these theories go hand in hand with one another in a
way. The theories ultimately focus on how people observe
others actions to gain more knowledge about society and
apply it to their own lives.
For example, someone who may not speak English observes
others who speak English will eventually learn their
behaviors to be able to speak English.

7. Media System Dependency Theory
Media System Dependency Theory has to do with people
becoming dependent on media as a way they obtain
information.
For example, if there is a social conflict someone might be
more reliant on a type of media in order to obtain
information about the conflict.

8. Video technology
Video technology in 2028 will
have us to be able to have
messages given through holograms.
You can access the videos from
anywhere, even on windows, and
they will continue to have better
resolution.

9. Phones of the future
The phones now are already
showing great progression
throughout the last few years,
but as they keep getting more
and more advanced they will
start to find ways to have see
through phones with better
battery and technology.

10. Cars of the Future
Cars in 2028 will start to look
more futuristic and also have
features like self driving,
tireless cars, and cars that do
not need fuel to run.
