The group presents information on electronic addictions. They show bar graphs of average time spent on electronics by 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. Electronic addictions can cause issues like violence, failing grades, and health problems. Examples are given of people who dropped out of school or neglected responsibilities to play games. The group plans to write an article for a newsletter to convince parents to set time limits to address this issue. They answer questions about addiction symptoms and effects.

18. Facts About People One person dropped out of high school to beat a game called “world of war craft”.- He came back after 3 weeks with very bad grades. Someone left his hungry pregnant wife in the car just to play a game on face book called Farm Ville and harvest some raspberries. These people can cause major problems for other people or even the Earth.

19. What We Are Doing (Action) We are writing to Rita who is the boss of the Newsletter. We will ask her if we can write an article on her newsletter. We will try to convince parents to give time limits to their children. This way some people will not play for too long and get good grades.

21. Answers to Student Questions Around 4 hours. (3rd, 4th and 5th grade) Some people are arguing on the internet about electronic addictions. Other people are setting up groups to stop electronic addictions. (especially mothers) No there are other problems for electronics. No there is a game called Big Brain Academy which educates you. Around 69%of the world will play video games and like them and people will have more problems.

22. The Symptoms of an Addicted Person If you would look at someone and you want to see people that are addicted you will need to notice if he is : pale, he is inside, they might have rings under their eyes, watching television or playing video games, will be eating junk food and might be fat.
