The document discusses the importance of the sanctuary and its articles in the Old Testament tabernacle and their significance as types pointing to Jesus Christ and His ministry. It explains that the sanctuary and its articles like the altar, laver, table of showbread, and throne represent important spiritual truths about salvation through Jesus, including His atoning death, baptism and regeneration, communion, and heavenly ministry. The sanctuary service gives insight into God's plan of redemption and should be properly understood.
Paul wrote the book of Colossians to the church in Colossae to address heretical teachings influencing the believers. The heresy involved Jewish legalism combined with mystical elements. Paul refuted this by emphasizing Christ's supremacy - as creator, reconciler through his death, and head of the church. He affirmed Christ's sufficiency and fulfilled the law. Paul encouraged the Colossians to stand firm in faith and live according to their identity in Christ through love, not legalism or asceticism. He closed by sending greetings and affirming Epaphras' prayers for them.

1. The document discusses the biblical teachings around the Lake of Fire in Revelation and hell. It aims to address questions around the nature and duration of punishment.
2. It analyzes multiple biblical passages and concludes that the wicked will not be punished until the final judgment at the end of the world. They are currently dead and in their graves, not suffering in hell.
3. When punished in the Lake of Fire, the wicked will be destroyed body and soul. They will burn up like stubble or dry grass and be reduced to ashes, with the fire going out completely. Their punishment will not be eternal torment but rather final destruction.

This document summarizes prophecies from the books of Daniel and Revelation regarding the little horn power and its 1260 day/year prophecy. It shows how the earthly sanctuary services were replaced by Rome after Christ's ministry ended, fulfilling Daniel's prophecy of the daily sacrifice being taken away. It lists 5 ways the papacy cast down God's truth: 1) Replacing Christ's sacrifice with penance and indulgences, 2) Replacing baptism with infant sprinkling, 3) Replacing the Bible with traditions, 4) Replacing Christ's mediation with confession to priests, and 5) Plunging Europe into the dark ages. The document uses the year-day principle to calculate the 1260 prophetic
The scripture passage from Daniel 8:14 formed the central pillar of the Adventist faith, which predicted that the sanctuary would be cleansed after 2300 days. Verses 3-4 describe a ram with two horns pushing in all directions and becoming great. Verses 5-8 then describe a male goat that overthrew the ram and became very great until its main horn was broken off. Verses 9-12 depict a small horn that became exceedingly great and took away the daily sacrifice by exalting itself, casting down the sanctuary. Verse 13 asks how long the vision concerning the daily sacrifice and transgression of desolation would last, trampling the sanctuary and host underfoot for 2300 days.

The Bible warns against adopting pagan practices and teaches that Jesus was likely born in fall, not winter.
The Nature of Christ -revisited - The Baker Letter (updated)Antonio Bernard
This document discusses issues that have arisen regarding Ellen White's writings on the human nature of Christ. It examines some of the terms she used such as "human nature", "sinful flesh", "fallen nature", and examines what she meant by these terms. It looks at statements that seem contradictory and discusses how to come to a balanced understanding examining all the evidence. The document explores Ellen White's understanding of "sinfulness" and whether that referred to our fallen nature or actual sinful acts. It discusses statements Ellen White drew from a sermon by Melvill and analyzes whether she accepted his conclusions about Christ having innocent infirmities but not sinful propensities. This document discusses the biblical plan of redemption from sin. It begins with Genesis 3:15 which prophesies that the seed of the woman would bruise the serpent's head. Revelation 12:7-10 describes Satan being cast out of heaven. When Adam and Eve sinned, their physical, mental and spiritual nature became marred. However, God devised a plan of salvation through Jesus Christ to restore humanity. Philippians 2 discusses how Jesus, though in the form of God, humbled himself by taking human form and dying on the cross. The plan of redemption and restoration of God's image in man is the central theme of the entire Bible.
The document discusses prophecies from the book of Daniel about four beasts representing kingdoms and a little horn power. It identifies the little horn as the papacy based on several lines of evidence from Daniel and Revelation: 1) It arose after the 10 divisions of the Roman Empire. 2) It uprooted three of the 10 kingdoms. 3) It differed from and was greater than the other kingdoms. The document argues that the papacy's claims to authority and ability to forgive sins constitute it speaking great things against God.

The doctrines about sin help people understand God and his will.
The document discusses the table of shewbread from the biblical sanctuary. It describes the table as being made of acacia wood overlaid with gold, measuring 3 feet long, 18 inches wide, and 27 inches high. It had gold molding and rings at the corners for poles to carry it. This document provides a summary and analysis of key passages in Matthew 24 regarding the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD. It makes 3 main points:
1) Matthew 24:15-28 refers to Jesus' warnings to Christians in Judea to flee Jerusalem upon seeing pagan idolatry set up in the Temple, which occurred when the Roman general Vespasian besieged Jerusalem in 69 AD.
2) There is no mention of a rapture in this passage - Jesus instructed his followers to flee the city to survive the coming destruction, not be taken up into heaven.
3) Descriptions of Jesus "coming" were likely using apocalyptic language common in Jewish literature to symbolize the divine
Jesus warned that before his return there would be an increase in deception, wars, false prophets, and wickedness. Many would turn away from faith and betray one another. However, the gospel would be preached throughout the world and then the end would come. False signs and wonders would deceive many, but Jesus' elect would be preserved. His return would be sudden and unexpected, like a thief in the night. He urged believers to watch and pray, remain faithful until the end, and to look forward to his coming with anticipation rather than fear.
Beyond tomorrow mark 13-14-23 - june 8, 2014John Smith
The document provides an in-depth summary and analysis of Jesus' teachings in Mark 13 about the end times and his second coming. It discusses several key points:
1) Jesus predicts the destruction of the Jerusalem temple, which served as the religious center of Judaism.
2) He describes various "birth pains" that will occur, including false prophets, wars, natural disasters, and persecution of believers.
3) He warns that the "abomination of desolation" mentioned in Daniel will signal the tribulation period when believers must flee to survive.
4) Jesus urges believers to remain faithful despite deception until his return, when he will establish his eternal kingdom.
The document provides an overview of key aspects of the Tribulation according to Christian eschatology. It discusses that the Tribulation will be a future seven-year period of severe distress involving war, persecution, and divine judgment. It examines debates around the Olivet Discourse addressing both its fulfillment in AD 70 and future prophetic significance. Signs of the Tribulation mentioned include war, violence, persecution, martyrdom, and supernatural events described in Revelation.
1) Jesus predicts the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem and his disciples ask about the signs of his coming and of the end of the age.
2) Jesus describes signs that will happen, including wars, famines, earthquakes, persecution of Christians, and the "abomination of desolation."
3) The abomination of desolation refers to both the desecration of the temple by Antiochus IV in 168 BC and a future end-times event involving the Antichrist declaring himself God in the rebuilt Jewish temple.
Jesus tells his disciples that the beautiful temple in Jerusalem will be completely destroyed, with not one stone left upon another. He warns them that before this occurs, they will face trials and persecution for their faith, including betrayal by family and friends. However, they should remain steadfast and not worry about defending themselves. Jesus also describes signs that will precede his return, including wars, earthquakes, famine and celestial events. He encourages his followers to watch for these signs and to stand tall, knowing their redemption is near.
The document discusses the tribulation period that is prophesied in the Bible to occur after the rapture of the church but before the second coming of Jesus Christ. It provides definitions of the tribulation, explains that it is a time determined for Israel according to prophecies in Daniel, and will last for 7 years based on calculations from Daniel's 70 weeks prophecy. Events described taking place during the tribulation include the ministry of two witnesses, Satan being cast to earth, and the beast being given power for 42 months. Arguments for why the church will be raptured before the tribulation include that the church is not appointed to wrath and is the bride of Christ.
This passage from the Gospel of Matthew describes Jesus predicting the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem and the events that will precede his second coming. Jesus tells his disciples that the temple will be completely destroyed, with not one stone left upon another. When they ask about the signs of his coming and the end of the age, Jesus warns of wars, famines, earthquakes, persecution of Christians, and the rise of false prophets. He says these are the beginning of the "birth pains" and the gospel must first be preached throughout the world. Jesus then describes a period of "great tribulation" and tells of signs in the sky that will accompany his return, which will come suddenly like lightning. He emphasizes the importance
The disciples ask Jesus three questions: 1) When will the destruction of the temple occur, 2) What will be the sign of his coming, and 3) What will be the sign of the end of the age. Jesus provides signs that must take place first, including wars, famines, earthquakes, false prophets, and persecution of believers. He describes the abomination of desolation standing in the holy place, and the great tribulation that follows. Jesus tells of cosmic signs at his second coming, including darkened skies and the sign of the Son of Man appearing. He emphasizes that heaven and earth will pass away but his words will remain, and the generation that sees these signs will not pass away until all is

The sermon argues that through Jesus' life, death, and resurrection, God has provided the ultimate sign in revealing his son as the savior of mankind.
New Testament Survey no.8: John - Book of Revelation Clive Ashby
The document provides an overview and analysis of Revelation chapter 1. It discusses that Revelation was written by John to encourage believers facing persecution. John received visions on the island of Patmos around AD 95. The book was written for the original 7 churches in Asia Minor dealing with tribulations, but also speaks to believers in all times facing hardship for their faith. It provides hope that Christ has overcome and will return victorious.
The document discusses the biblical passages about the Battle of Armageddon from Revelation. It provides 4 points:
1) The armies of the kings of the East will cross the Euphrates River and gather in the Valley of Megiddo.
2) The battle is initially between the armies of the Antichrist and the kings of the East and North, but their focus shifts to fighting Jesus and his heavenly armies.
3) Jesus destroys the armies and the Antichrist and False Prophet when he returns.
4) The Battle of Armageddon coincides with the Rapture of Saints, and the document looks at the Rapture next.
The Great Harlot represents Jerusalem and Israel who committed spiritual adultery and prostitution through idolatry. The document examines scriptural references where Israel is referred to as a harlot due to her unfaithfulness to God. It identifies Jerusalem as the Great City that reigns over the earth and is contrasted with the holy New Jerusalem. Jerusalem shed the blood of believers through persecuting and killing prophets and followers of Christ. Symbols of the Harlot represent Israel appropriating symbols of God's priesthood while practicing pagan rituals. Israel took on identities of Egypt and Babylon due to adopting their occult beliefs, seen also in the anti-Christian Talmud and Kabbalah.
Looks at how the last two chapters of the Book of Daniel fit in with the end times chronology of the New Testament in the Book of Revelation and Synoptic Gospels.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

2. The Synoptic Gospel Narrative
Accounts of Jesus’ Prophecies
Comparing Jesus’ Words Before His Crucifixion
The synoptic gospels have similar parallel accounts of
the events and trends of the end of time. This chart puts
them next to each other where they match in content.
Though they are not strictly chronological, the
similarities with each other and the Revelation passages
already studied are unmistakable. The end of these slides
will integrate them all into a chronological sequence of
events.

3. Matthew 24:1 - 44
Mark 13:1 - 37
Luke 21:5 - 33
Commentary
24:1 Now as Jesus was
going out of the temple
courts and walking away,
his disciples came to show
him the temple buildings.
24:2 And he said to them,
“Do you see all these
things? I tell you the truth,
not one stone will be left
on another. All will be
torn down!”
13:1 Now as Jesus was
going out of the temple
courts, one of his disciples
said to him, “Teacher,
look at these tremendous
stones and buildings!”
13:2 Jesus said to him,
“Do you see these great
buildings? Not one stone
will be left on another. All
will be torn down!”
21:5 Now while some
were speaking about the
temple, how it was
adorned with beautiful
stones and offerings, Jesus
said, 21:6 “As for these
things that you are gazing
at, the days will come
when not one stone will
be left on another. All will
be torn down!”
This has not yet happened.
The destruction of the
Jewish temple occurred in
70 AD. The Western
(Wailing) wall was part of
the temple complex, and
that was not destroyed.
There is still a time
coming that will fulfill
this.
24:3 As he was sitting on
the Mount of Olives, his
disciples came to him
privately and said, “Tell
us, when will these things
happen? And what will be
the sign of your coming
and of the end of the
age?”
13:3 So while he was
sitting on the Mount of
Olives opposite the
temple, Peter, James,
John, and Andrew asked
him privately, 13:4 “Tell
us, when will these things
happen? And what will be
the sign that all these
things are about to take
place?”
21:7 So they asked him,
“Teacher, when will these
things happen? And what
will be the sign that these
things are about to take
place?”

end is still to come.
These things must
happen, but the end is
still to come.
21:8 He said, “Watch out
that you are not misled.
For many will come in
my name, saying, ‘I am
he,’ and, ‘The time is
near.’ Do not follow
them!
21:9 And when you hear
of wars and rebellions,
do not be afraid. For
these things must happen
first, but the end will not
come at once.”
24:7 For nation will rise up in arms
against nation, and kingdom against
kingdom.
13:8a For nation will rise
up in arms against
nation, and kingdom
against kingdom.
And there will be famines and
