Over the past 11 years, more than 10 million books have been distributed for free to schools, prisons, nurseries, old age homes, universities, orphanages and clinics through 204 containers. An event sponsored by OMO washing powder set a world record by creating the longest washing line over a river with 6,709 shirts fluttering in the wind. It took 23 engineers months to plan the 3 day festival attended by 3,000 visitors and featuring the 3.5 mile long suspended steel cable. A weekend cycling tour across 3 districts and two countries saw over 27,000 cyclists participate, including 4,000 from outside South Africa, and received full media coverage on TV.
