Introduction to Promitor
Promitor is an open source tool that scrapes metrics from Azure Monitor and other sources and makes them available to systems like Prometheus and Graphite. It works by declaring which metrics to collect from which Azure resources. It can also automatically discover resources using criteria like resource tags. The scraper agent queries Azure Monitor and resource discovery to collect metrics from both static and dynamic resources. Promitor supports scraping many Azure services and has over 140 stars on GitHub with growing adoption and downloads. Future plans include new authentication options and adding more Azure service scrapers.

Dan Gillean and Justin Simpson from Artefactual Systems gave a presentation on their open source digital preservation applications AtoM and Archivematica. Artefactual develops these applications using open standards and makes their code freely available under open source licenses. They provide technical support and services to help institutions implement and use AtoM for archival description and Archivematica for digital preservation workflows based on the OAIS model. Tim Spann: I'm going to be talking today, be building Apache 9520 Python processors. One of the main purposes of supporting Python in the streaming tool Apache Nifi is to interface with new machine learning and AI and Gen AI. He says Python is a real game changer for Cloudera.
You're just going to add some metadata around it. It's a great way to pass a file along without changing it too substantially. We really need you to have Python 310 and again JDK 21 on your machine. You got to be smart about how you use these models.
There are a ton of python processors available. You can use them in multiple ways. We're still in the early world of Python processors, so now's the time to start putting yours out there. Love to see a lot of people write their own.
