Forging Relationships…for the Good
• During Implementation worked with our central IT
department to install the Informatica Cloud services
• Approximately mid 2017, we began using Informatica
to push data into TargetX to link applications to
inquiries

• Challenge: Students use multiple email addresses - one for
inquiry, one for application
• A-ha: Majority of our graduate students inquire and apply with the
same email address
• Challenge: What happens when the email addresses don’t
match?
• A-ha: Use Demand Tools with a Manual Process (GPC)
• Challenge: Students who apply to one program may still inquire
about other programs

Lessons Learned:
• Don't try to solve all the data problems at
once, break it down!
• Take the time to learn the tools you are
working with
• Be nice to the people that support your
data warehouse; they can save you lots of
work.
