RE: Letter of Reference for Project – CM at Risk for Renovation of Gwinnett Justice and
Administration Center Campus Office Space
To Whom It May Concern:
I am specifically speaking to the reference for Mr. Dave Davenport (Pre-Construction) and Mr. Jeff
White (Project Superintendent). I worked with Mr. Davenport and Mr. White on a $50 million dollar
renovation of Russell Hall residence hall at the University of Georgia. My position there was serving as
the Director of Housing Facilities.
Both Mr. Davenport and Mr. White worked for the CM at Risk firm – Juneau Construction. Their
contribution to the success of this award winning project (Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation for
Excellence in Sustainable Preservation, “Two Peaches from the Georgia Peach Green Building
Certification, “Project Achievement Award in Public Building Renovation from the Construction
Management Association of America, and the Athens-Clarke County Heritage Foundation 2019 Award
for Outstanding Rehabilitation) was significant. Both were highly valued by the University Team.
Mr. Davenport was responsible for the pre-construction on the project. The project was laid out in
multiple release packages under a master CM at Risk agreement. By all accounts his diligent work was
right on the mark and allowed us to formulate and optimize a financial plan of action for the project. He
worked closely with Mr. White in reviewing project scope, order of magnitude, supply variations, and
costing exercises.
Mr. White led a team of multiple sub-contractors with complex and time sensitive deliverables. This
project (being a renovation) was thrown several significant curveballs with discoveries in structure and
MEP. These discoveries led to changes in pricing, scope, and schedule. All were estimated by Mr.
Davenport and executed by Mr. White to the satisfaction of the client. The end result was a project that
was delivered on time and under budget.
As the client representing the end users and the department funding the project, I very much valued
the experience, professionalism, and abilities of Mr. Davenport and Mr. White on this project.
Specifically I appreciated their willingness to listen to the client and understand what was important to
us. They were able to take this understanding and implement a project that turned out to be one of the
best mid-century renovations of a university residence hall in the country.
I can highly recommend both these professionals and what they bring to a project. I would gladly work
with them again on future endeavors. Please feel free to contact me directly should you require any
additional information. Thank you.

organized and forward focused they were. The
process has been incredible so far. They are
taking care of all the work for me so I can focus
on the inner workings of the business! The
talent and the craftsmanship of this team is

I would like to take this opportunity to recognize
Iugis Construction Corporation for the work
effort to complete my tenant buildout and
expansion. The effort put forth in coordination
with the City of Roswell to obtain a permit for
construction and deal with inspections is
noteworthy. Coordination with me (owner) and
the subcontractors to ensure their scopes of
work was completed was highly appreciated. I
would highly recommend them for any tenant
work and would bring them back for any future
work I would need.
