Cloud and Virtualization gives you agility and efficiency to instantly roll out new services and expand your infrastructure. But the lack of physical control, or defined entrance and egress points, bring a whole host of cloud security issues – data co-mingling, privileged user abuse, snapshots and backups, data deletion, data leakage, geographic regulatory requirements, cloud super-admins, and many more. Fortunately, experts agree that encryption is the unifying cloud security control, allowing you protect, control and maintain the trust. Gemalto’s proven encryption and enterprise key management solutions turn any cloud environment into a trusted and compliant environment by solving the critical challenges of data governance, control, and ownership - no matter where you store your data.

Whether you’re just beginning to explore cloud computing or adopting it at enterprise-scale, it is important to build security into your architecture. But where do you begin? This requires a thorough understanding of your shared security responsibilities as well as familiarity with the tools available to address these issues.
Humans and Data Don't Mix- Best Practices to Secure Your CloudAmazon Web Services
When it comes to security, human error far outpaces other causes of failures. The risk of humans touching sensitive data is clear, so how do you get them away from your data while also speeding up time to detection and remediation? Stephen Schmidt, AWS CISO, will share hard-earned lessons around potential opportunities in your security program, along with practical steps to improve the agility of your organization.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.
Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.
