Infrastructure is one of the favorite projects of every developed and developing nation. Construction industry occupies a prominent place in the infrastructure development of a country. Cement is one the elementary material components in the construction industry. Saudi Arabia has shown a weaker performance in generation of revenue over a period of five years from 2015 to 2019. In a situation of economic slowdown it becomes a challenge for the business concerns to maintain their profitability. The present study is designed to analyze and compare the profitability position of cement companies in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia during this period. The study belongs to top five cement companies in terms of market value and revenue generation in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. To measure the profitability gross profit ratio, operating ratio, operating profit ratio, net profit ratio and return on investment have been used as variables. One way anova has been used to test the hypotheses. The study shows that these companies do not differ significantly from one another in terms of gross profit, operating profit and net profit but they differ significantly when return on investment is compared. Cement companies can increase their profitability by improving the components of those ratios that have been the cause of decline in profitability.

Admixtures are generally used to alter the properties of concrete (such as increased workability or reduced water content, acceleration or retardation of setting time, acceleration of strength development, and improved resistance to weather and chemical attacks) to make it more suitable for a particular purpose. For example, calcium chloride can be used to accelerate strength development in mass concrete during winter. Air-entraining admixtures (inexpensive soaps, detergents, etc.) entrain air which greatly improves the workability of concrete and thus permits the use of harsher and more poorly graded aggregates and also those of undesirable shapes.

The cement industry in India is the second largest producer of cement globally. It has seen significant growth with a CAGR of 9.7% between 2006-2013. The key drivers of demand are the housing sector at 64% and infrastructure such as roads and bridges at 17%. The largest cement companies are ACC, Ambuja, and Ultratech. Issues facing the industry include high transportation costs and dependence on coal and power which have rising costs and are regulated by the government. The industry has impacts on the environment through carbon dioxide emissions in production and nitrogen oxide emissions from fuel combustion.
Glass Reinforced Concrete (GRC). Production of GRC or GFRC. Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete (GRFC) Industry
GRC or GFRC is made in thin concrete sections created by a proprietary process of machine spraying an enriched OP cement and aggregate mix within which alkali resistant glass fibres provide the reinforcement. Unlike steel, glass fibres will never rust and are placed throughout the thickness of the panels.
GRC is approximately 80% lighter than pre-cast steel reinforced concrete cladding, it offers greater versatility due to its superior compressive strength and most importantly its flexural properties. Due to the reduced weight it is environmentally friendly in comparison to pre-cast concrete with lower co2 emissions caused during manufacture. The emission reductions are significantly enhanced if the reduced load on the superstructure with the resultant economies in structural frame and foundations are taken in to account. GRC receives a BREEAM A+ material rating and is easy to handle and fast to erect due to its lightweight mounting on a range of bespoke support systems.

Cement is one of the most common building materials in the construction industry. Simultaneously, its price fluctuation can affect the success or failure of the construction project's performance. The study aimed to develop a web-based platform that uses machine learning algorithms on historical data of cement prices, petrol prices, diesel prices, interest rate, and exchange rate to predict future prices of cement products. The web-based learning platform was developed using hypertext markup language (HTML), cascading style sheet (CSS), MySQL, and hypertext preprocessor (PHP). For building a reliable machine learning model, python language was used to train the system. The front end, the back end, and the machine learning model were integrated with a flask python framework. A system block diagram was designed to show the web-based learning platform's interfaces. The web-based learning platform's system implementation led to the login page, the home page, database page, and cement price analytics interface. In training the machine learning model to make reliable cement price predictions, the study obtained an 80% fitted model in the linear regression. The web-based machine learning platform was able to predict the prices of cement. The rationale behind the machine learning prediction shown by the scatter plot diagram revealed that the cement increases by 250 naira biannually.

Admixtures are generally used to alter the properties of concrete (such as increased workability or reduced water content, acceleration or retardation of setting time, acceleration of strength development, and improved resistance to weather and chemical attacks) to make it more suitable for a particular purpose. For example, calcium chloride can be used to accelerate strength development in mass concrete during winter. Air-entraining admixtures (inexpensive soaps, detergents, etc.) entrain air which greatly improves the workability of concrete and thus permits the use of harsher and more poorly graded aggregates and also those of undesirable shapes.

Ready-mix concrete (RMC) is concrete that is manufactured in a factory or batching plant, according to a set recipe, and then delivered to a work site by truck mounted in–transit mixers. This document provides an overview of the RMC industry and discusses the manufacturing process, machinery requirements, advantages, uses, and the large market potential for RMC plants in India as infrastructure and construction increase. It also includes financial projections, costs, and factors to consider when setting up an RMC plant.
The cement industry in India has grown substantially over the past decade and has become the second largest producer globally. Cement demand is driven primarily by the construction sector, particularly housing and infrastructure development. While cement production has increased significantly, capacity utilization remains low due to issues like poor coal quality, power outages, and inadequate transportation infrastructure. The government plans major infrastructure spending which will further drive cement demand. The industry is dominated by a few large players and global cement companies are entering the Indian market. The future outlook for the cement industry in India remains positive due to expected growth in construction activity, though companies will face challenges around rising input costs and increasing competition.
The cement industry in India is the second largest producer of cement globally. It has seen significant growth with a CAGR of 9.7% between 2006-2013. The key drivers of demand are the housing sector at 64% and infrastructure such as roads and bridges at 17%. The largest cement companies are ACC, Ambuja, and Ultratech. Issues facing the industry include high transportation costs and dependence on coal and power which have rising costs and are regulated by the government. The industry has impacts on the environment through carbon dioxide emissions in production and nitrogen oxide emissions from fuel combustion.
Glass Reinforced Concrete (GRC). Production of GRC or GFRC. Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete (GRFC) Industry
GRC or GFRC is made in thin concrete sections created by a proprietary process of machine spraying an enriched OP cement and aggregate mix within which alkali resistant glass fibres provide the reinforcement. Unlike steel, glass fibres will never rust and are placed throughout the thickness of the panels.
GRC is approximately 80% lighter than pre-cast steel reinforced concrete cladding, it offers greater versatility due to its superior compressive strength and most importantly its flexural properties. Due to the reduced weight it is environmentally friendly in comparison to pre-cast concrete with lower co2 emissions caused during manufacture. The emission reductions are significantly enhanced if the reduced load on the superstructure with the resultant economies in structural frame and foundations are taken in to account. GRC receives a BREEAM A+ material rating and is easy to handle and fast to erect due to its lightweight mounting on a range of bespoke support systems.

Cement is one of the most common building materials in the construction industry. Simultaneously, its price fluctuation can affect the success or failure of the construction project's performance. The study aimed to develop a web-based platform that uses machine learning algorithms on historical data of cement prices, petrol prices, diesel prices, interest rate, and exchange rate to predict future prices of cement products. The web-based learning platform was developed using hypertext markup language (HTML), cascading style sheet (CSS), MySQL, and hypertext preprocessor (PHP). For building a reliable machine learning model, python language was used to train the system. The front end, the back end, and the machine learning model were integrated with a flask python framework. A system block diagram was designed to show the web-based learning platform's interfaces. The web-based learning platform's system implementation led to the login page, the home page, database page, and cement price analytics interface. In training the machine learning model to make reliable cement price predictions, the study obtained an 80% fitted model in the linear regression. The web-based machine learning platform was able to predict the prices of cement. The rationale behind the machine learning prediction shown by the scatter plot diagram revealed that the cement increases by 250 naira biannually.

During 2011-2014, the construction sector in the major Middle Eastern economies accounted for around 5% of their national GDPs, with the
exception of Kuwait, where construction sector accounts for about 2% of the country’s GDP.
Within MENA, the construction sector in Iran witnessed the fastest growth of more than 33% during 2008-2015.
Despite the high costs and extensive construction permit procedure in the country, Iranian construction sector exhibited a remarkable double-
digit growth between 2011 and 2014, exhibiting a CAGR of 39% during the same period.

For instance, Saudi Arabia has awarded Ta’if International
Airport construction project, with a capacity to handle 5
million passengers per annum in 2016 under the PPP model.

Fire Resistant Concrete- Composition
Fire resistant concrete is composed of carbonate aggregates (including
limestone and dolomite) and lightweight aggregates (either naturally
occurring or manufactured by expanding shale, clay or slag) that retain most
of their compressive strength up to 1200 degrees Fahrenheit.
As a result, calcium aluminate or refractory cement combined with carbonate
& light-weight aggregates are best fit for production of fire resistant concrete.
Polymer or polypropylene monofilament fibers can significantly contribute to
the reduction of explosive spalling, and thus, improve the fire resistance of
the concrete.

Scientists from the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and
Technology (EMPA) have come up with a method of manufacturing fire-
resistant self-compacting high-performance concrete (SCHPC) that
maintains its mechanical integrity when exposed to fire.
SCHPC manufacturing involves a low proportion of polymer fibers to
induce self compacting property to the fire resistant concrete.
A series of thin-walled concrete slabs that are pre-stressed with cables
made of carbon fiber-reinforced polymer are utilized in order to develop
SCHPC.
In addition to this, a super-absorbing polymer (SAP) that is a synthetic
material capable of absorbing water and moisture is added to increase
the efficiency and functionality of the resulting concrete.
