Growing up in New York City, Tim Gittens faced crippling hardships that could have made him
another statistic especially as a minority youth from the inner city. However, Gittens broke the cycle
and excelled despite numerous setbacks…using basketball as a vehicle to conquer.
While working as a teacher, trainer, coach, camp facilitator, and motivational speaker; Gittens
noticed some national issues with today’s youth and he decided to do his part to create a solution and
positive/life-changing results…he founded a nonprofit, Headache13 Foundation.
Tim Gittens possesses a unique combination of Teaching, Coaching, Customer Service, Business
Administration, Marketing, Accounting, and Project Management Skills. With over 20 years of
experience in the above skills, Gittens continues to excel in the field of Education.
