 Rs 5,75,000 crore Planned for current fiscal year.
 Rs. 70.6 billion provided for the development of
smart cities.
 Rs. 10 billion provided for irrigation.
 5 New IITs and IIMs and four new AIIMS will
establish in India.

4. Foreign Direct Investment
 Defence FDI cap raised from 26% to 49%.
 FDI in real estate for low cost housing.

5. Personal tax and exemption limit
 No changes in personal income tax . Exemption limit
on income tax from Rs. 2 lakh to Rs. 2.5 lakh.
 Housing loan interest rate deduction limit has been
increased to Rs. 2 lakh.

6.  Rs 100 crore allocated for Startup village to promote
entrepreneurship among rural youth.
 Minimum pension of Rs.1000 per month to all PP
schemes.
 Rs 3600 crore allocated for National Rural Drinking
Water.

7.  Rs 37, 800 crore allotted for National Highways.
 Rs 500 crore sets for National Rural Internet and
Technology Mission.

8.  Rs 50,548 crore proposed for Schedule Caste
development.
 Rs 1000 crore provided for rail connectivity in
northeastern region.

9.  PPF limit raised to Rs 1.5 lakh.
 Rs 100 crore sets for project to link rivers.
 Rs 2.29 lakh crore allocated for defence sector.
