Each year, International Women's Day
(IWD) is celebrated on March 8 around the

women. It is a day when women are
recognized for their achievements regardless of
age, ethnicity, and culture, economic or
political differences. For Uganda there is a lot

       Parliamentary Gender Champions lobby for a gender and equity monitoring unit



                                                                                              Gender champions within Parliament are plotting to push for the establishment of
                                                                                                                    within
                                                                                              a ‘Gender Monitoring Unit’ within parliament which will be mandated to check
                                                                                                                                                      ill

                                                                    This Mural is a masterpiece that projects the Uganda Feminist Forum (UFF) 2025 Vision that members
                                                                    thought out at the 2009 Uganda Feminist Forum. It depicts the ambitions and aspirations of the. By

  • 2. 2 Connecting Girls, Inspiring the future Coconnection “Maria Kiwanuka’s enthusiasm for work, crave for accuracy and belief in success has seen her ascend to almost the highest and most influential office in government-Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development. Her zeal did not just start a few months ago, it started way back …” The Observer Each year, International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated on March 8 around the world. Countries use this day to mark the economic, political and social achievements of women. It is a day when women are recognized for their achievements regardless of age, ethnicity, and culture, economic or political differences.
