AP Teacher Workshop: AP Calculus, AP Chemistry, AP Physics, AP Economics and AP English
Each of these two-day workshops will be delivered by experienced AP teachers who are also College Board
consultants. The workshops will focus on content and instructional techniques for teaching AP® courses and
preparing students for the AP Exams.
Using activities, workshop participants will explore the topics covered in the courses in ways that support student
understanding and maximize preparation for the AP Exams. Workshop leaders and participants will pay particular
attention to teaching strategies, textbooks, and supplementary material selection, effective use of technology,
methods of assessing student understanding, and techniques for managing the course content in a constrained
time frame. You will also discuss ways of promoting greater student participation in AP. The workshops will also
feature a comprehensive review of recent AP Exams, and time will be provided for participants to share their own
strategies and best practices.
