Reflections “ It was a great feeling to make an impact in people’s lives and see how much they truly appreciated our help...” ~Julie Ahlberg on helping at the YWCA “ The team I worked with was great and I think it was great exposure for the interns to get to know people that we would not have had the chance to meet otherwise... Our efforts improved the physical appearance of the neighborhood and gave us the chance to take a break from our daily work and really put "quality in everything we do" by serving our community.” ~Ashley Robinson on helping at the Godman Guild “ Along the Alum Creek, we cut and removed Honeysuckle, which is a non-native invasive species… Afterwards, it was a great feeling to be able to look back along the trail and actually see the difference we had made. Walkers and joggers had even stopped along the path during the day to thank us or just talk to us about what we were doing.” ~ Chris Higbee on helping the Department of Parks & Recreation

Reflection Overall, this has been great experience for us all. Being able to have a lasting impact on peoples’ lives was truly a rewarding experience. Raising money to donate was an added bonus for us. We have learned that what may seem like small gestures to us are very meaningful to the ones we were helping. Seeing the appreciation in the faces of those we helped truly left a permanent impression on our lives.
Thank You!
