Assignment (90 points).
i) You selected a topic for the course's project.
For my final project, I would like to focus on the HighScope
curriculum, one of the many standard GSRP curriculums that
are used to teach students usually coming into school for the
first time; students will begin school around ages 3-4 years old.
Within the first 30 days of teaching the students, there is a book
that has day to day lesson plans that help the instructor teach
the students the basics skills. These simple skills are what help
the student learn how to navigate through the basic routine of
the classroom.
While instructing the first thirty day book’s lesson plan over the
last several weeks, I have identified a way to expand the
curriculum in the first thirty days. While focusing on social
emotional skills as well as some academics, there isn't a lesson
plan that addresses ethnicity or different cultures. Oftentimes,
the blended factor is overlooked in the classroom because all of
the children are reduced to the same term: students, but they
offer so much more than that. It is important, especiall y early
on, to bring positive awareness to our differences. Such as
teaching about differences in skin tones, types of textures of
hair, hair bows & beads, etc. The target audience for this
research would be parents of preschool children, especially
those parents whose students learn under the HighScope
curriculum. I believe this need for expansion in the curriculum
can be addressed by introducing a lesson plan in the first 30
days that brings awareness & attention to the students'
differences.
ii) Now, you need to conduct a needs analysis. A needs
analysis is a way of identifying a problem and being able to
come up with a probable training or solution for the problem for
a specific group of people in an organization (school, hospital,
2. daycare center, nonprofit agency).
-Introduce a lesson plan that brings awareness to student’s
differences, such as their hair color/texture, their skin tones,
what names they call their parents & grandparents.
Write a 2–4 page needs analysis in which you:
· Discuss the learner characteristics that are relevant to
designing an effective course for your audience.
· Educational background: Basic learner skills, beginning to
understand society & social skills
· Experience:
· Age: 3-4 year olds
· Pre-existing knowledge: What they have been taught from
their parents & learned from their surroundings.
· Outline the data you would collect for the contextual analysis,
job analysis (if appropriate), and task analysis for your project.
· Contextual analysis: Factors that may contribute or hinder
knowledge acquisition and transfer of learning.
· Job analysis (if appropriate): Description of the job function.
(Position description.)
· Task analysis: Observation of the steps needed to complete the
task at an expert level.
· Knowledge or performance gap: Current state versus desired
state.
· Provide a rationale for the learning theory that best frames the
design of your project.
· Select a learning theory that supports the design of your
course.
· Support your rationale with an example of how you applied
the learning theory.
· Use two sources to support your writing. Choose sources that
are credible, relevant, and appropriate. Cite each source listed
on your source page at least one time within your assignment.

Phew! You just answered 130 questions about your personality.
Nice work!
Now, let's take a look at how you scored. In this free report,
you'll learn the essential facts about your personality type.
You'll also see how to unlock your full report for more in-depth
information.
Your Personality Type Code
To get started, let's take a look at the personality types that fit
you best. Each of the personality types is described by a four -
letter code. If you're not sure what these acronyms mean, don't
worry about it for now—we'll look at this in more detail later in
your report. For now, just take a look at the types that you
scored highest for.
The following chart shows your top 3 personality type matches.
ENTJ - The Commander
VERY GOOD MATCH
ENTJs are strategic leaders, motivated to organize change. They
are quick to see inefficiency and conceptualize new solutions,
and enjoy developing long-range plans to accomplish their
vision.
4. ESTJ - The Supervisor
VERY GOOD MATCH
ESTJs are hardworking traditionalists, eager to take charge in
organizing projects and people. Orderly, rule-abiding, and
conscientious, ESTJs like to get things done, and tend to go
about projects in a systematic, methodical way.
ESTP - The Dynamo
GOOD MATCH
ESTPs are energetic thrillseekers who are at their best when
putting out fires, whether literal or metaphorical. They bring a
sense of dynamic energy to their interactions with others and
the world around them.
The Elements of Your Personality
Now, let's dig into the details. Your personality type code is
made of up of four letters, and each letter signifies an important
part of who you are.
In this section, we'll look at how you scored on each of the four
major dimensions of personality type. Each dimension provides
a broad description of how you approach things in a
fundamental aspect of your life: how you manage your energy,
relate to others, process thoughts and feelings, and organize
your daily activities.
Introversion vs. Extraversion
This dimension describes how you manage your energy. Your
preference for Introversion or Extraversion relates to how
readily you express yourself, how easily you warm up to new
people, and the extent to which you engage with the world
around you. But most fundamentally, this dimension relates to
whether you are energized by time alone, or time with other
people.
29%INTROVERTED71%EXTRAVERTED
As an Extravert, you are primarily focused outward, on the
world around you. You seek stimulation and activity and enjoy
busy environments. You are energized by activity and by
interacting with other people. You tend to be talkative and
5. express yourself easily.
Your scores on the six facets of Introversion/Extraversion show
the individual traits that make up your energy style.
Sensing vs. Intuition
This dimension describes how you process information. Your
preference for Sensing or Intuition indicates whether your style
of thinking is straightforward, factual, and concrete, or creative,
intepretive, and abstract. Sensors and Intuitives tend to be
interested in different kinds of information, with Sensors more
interested in facts and details, and Intuitives more interested in
ideas.
53%SENSING47%INTUITION
Your energy style is a blend of Sensing and Intuition, and as
such, you are neither a pure Sensor nor a pure Intuitive.
Because you do show a slight preference for Sensing, we can
classify you as an Sensor type. However, it’s more accurate to
say that you are a bit of both Sensor and Intuitive: you tend to
use both styles in processing information, and you may switch
from one to the other depending on the demands of your
environment.
Your scores on the six facets of Sensing/Intuition illuminate
your individual style of thinking about the world around you.
Thinking vs. Feeling
This dimension describes your orientation to personal values.
Your preference for Thinking or Feeling can be thought of as
your preference for "head versus heart" in your decision
making. This dimension relates to how you prioritize conflicting
values, and whether you tend to feel more comfortable relying
on logic and reason, or emotions and personal judgments.
66%THINKING34%FEELING
As a Thinker, you are driven by a desire to pursue rational,
logical reasoning. You tend to think about things in a detached,
unemotional manner, and are most comfortable when you can
reason through an issue logically. You are disinterested in
personal appeals, preferring your decisions to be objective. You
can be competitive with others, and don't mind ruffling a few
6. feathers to achieve your goals.
Your scores on the six facets of Thinking/Feeling give a
detailed look into how you can be true to your values.
Perceiving vs. Judging
This dimension of personality describes how you manage your
life. Your preference for Perceiving vs. Judging has to do with
your orientation toward structure, schedules, deadlines, and
organization. It also has to do with how you tend to manage
your time and approach the work you have to do.
40%PERCEIVING60%JUDGING
As a Judger, you prefer to approach your life with a sense of
structure and order. You like things planned and scheduled, and
dislike unexpected changes. You tend to maintain systems of
organization appreciate structured environments. It is important
to you to follow through on your promises, and you consider
yourself responsible and reliable.
Your scores on the five facets of the Judging/Perceiving
dimension show how you can use your strengths to achieve your
goals in life.
ESTJ
Extraverted Sensing Thinking Judging
Every right-minded man has a philosophy of life, whether he
knows it or not. Hidden away in his mind are certain governing
principles, whether he formulates them in words or not, which
govern his life. Surely his ideal ought to be to contribute all
that he can, however little it may be, whether of money or
service, to human progress.
--John D. Rockefeller, Random Reminiscences of Men and
Events
ESTJs thrive on order and continuity. Being extraverted, their
focus involves organization of people, which translates into
supervision. While ENTJs enjoy organizing and mobilizing
7. people according to their own theories and tactically based
agendas, ESTJs are content to enforce "the rules," often dictated
by tradition or handed down from a higher authority.
ESTJs are joiners. They seek out like-minded companions in
clubs, civic groups, churches and other service organizations.
The need for belonging is woven into the fiber of SJs. The
family likewise is a central focus for ESTJs, and attendance at
such events as weddings, funerals and family reunions is
obligatory.
Tradition is important to the ESTJ. Holidays, birthdays and
other annual celebrations are remembered and observed often
religiously by this type. The ESTJ is inclined to seek out his
roots, to trace the family heritage back to honored ancestors
both for a sense of family respectability and for a sense of
security and belonging.
Service, the tangible expression of responsibility, is another key
focus for ESTJs. They love to provide and to receive good
service. The ESTJ merchant who provides dependable service
has done much to enhance his or her self image.
ESTJs have an acute sense for orthodoxy. Much of their
evaluation of persons and activities reflects their strong sense
of what is "normal" and what isn't. ESTJ humor is frequently
centered around something or someone being off center or
behaving abnormally.
ESTJs promote the work ethic. Power, position and prestige
should be worked for and earned. Laziness is rarely viewed with
ambivalence nor benevolence by this type.
Some men can make decisions and some cannot. Some men fret
and delay under criticism. I used to have a saying1 that applies
here, and I note that some people have picked it up.
--Harry S. Truman, Mr. Citizen
1"If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen."
The ESTJ is outspoken, a person of principles, which are
readily expressed. The ESTJ is not afraid to stand up for what
he or she believes is right even in the face of overwhelming
8. odds. ESTJs are able to make the tough calls.
Occupations attracting ESTJs include teaching, coaching,
banking, political office, and management at all levels.
(ESTJ stands for Extravert, Sensing, Thinking, Judging and
represents individual's preferences in four dimensions
characterising personality type, according to Jung's and Briggs
Myers' theories of personality type.)
Your Type Preferences
Extravert(38%) Sensing(16%) Thinking(41%)
Judging(12%)Functional Analysis Of The ESTJ
Based on Jung’s framework of cognitive functionsExtraverted
Thinking
ESTJs are very good at making impersonal decisions quickly,
and standing by those decisions. They live in their Extraverted
Thinking functioning, thus, their prime directive is in
discovering that which is true and logical in the events of the
real world. Circumstances calling for product invite the ESTJ to
supervise or direct other individuals toward production and
productivity. Extraverts are attracted to the "object," the
external things and people in observable reality. This bent
translates into a natural interest in goods and material
objects.Introverted Sensing
The secondary Introverted Sensing is like that of the ISTJ, but
not as strong. Si provides practical form and concept data to the
Te head, however, form is not the overriding principle,
especially if Thinking has already decided. In times of need,
ESTJs are tempted to overlook even necessary information if its
absence impedes closure. Secondary sensing sometimes
translates into interest in sports. The persistence of primary
Thinking gives many ESTJs a desire for discipline and regimen
which can be beneficial in skills development in the
arena.Extraverted iNtuition
As the ESTJ matures, and as situations arise which call for
suspension of criticism, Extraverted iNtuition is allowed to
play. Under the leadership of the Te function, iNtuition
gravitates toward the discovery of broad categories which at
9. worst amount to stereotypes. Those ESTJs who hone their Ne
abilities may find success in academia. (I've encountered ESTJs
whose Ne overshadows the auxiliary Si function--for whatever
reason--to the extent that there is an appearance of NT radical
geekism.)Introverted Feeling
This function may rarely be expressed. ESTJs who have
cultivated, or have been blessed with, a "natural indirect
expression of good will by inference," have great prospects of
developing genuine friendships (as opposed to ESTJs who
merely act out the behavior of Extraverted Feeling). Such a
weak, introverted function is best observed in facial expression,
eye contact, body language, and verbally only by implication.

Extravert(38%) Sensing(16%) Thinking(41%) Judging(12%)
ESTJs often find themselves in occupations that require
thorough analysis, practical planning and organizational skills,
process control and responsibility. ESTJs make good mid- and
high-rank managers and executives. They succeed as military
and police workers, politicians, engineers and entrepreneurs.
They are found in technology companies among those who deal
with practical aspects of technology (e.g. implementation
specialists).
Jung Career Indicator™ determines occupations and areas in
which people of your type find themselves most fulfilled and
content, are most successful, and in which they are likely most
represented. The following listing includes examples of areas of
occupation suitable from a personality type standpoint. Search

One of the main reasons for difficulties in a career is
inconsistency between person's natural risk attitudes (like risk

are taking. This inconsistency leads to stress and emotional
discomfort, reduces confidence in your own abilities, adversely
affecting your career. Take the Risk Attitudes Quiz to
understand your risk type and gain additional insights.
Risk Attitudes Quiz comes in handy when considering a job or
changing the course of your career, especially if you:
· lack self-confidence which is keeping you from taking the
next step toward your dream job.
· are over-analytical and cannot stop debating alternatives.
· are looking to achieve sustainability in your career.
· change your course too often and want to find out the potential
cause for that.
Take the Risk Attitudes Quiz » to see if the career decisions you

· Education is a huge investment of time and money so be ready
to ask a lot of questions of any college or university you are
considering. Therefore, create a list of questions and take notes
as you get your answers while talking to an enrolment advisor
or when signing up and requesting information.
· Be wary of any school that is unable to or refuses to answer
any of your questions. A degree is a long-term commitment and
choosing a college or university that understands and can meet
your needs should be one of your top priorities.
· Sign up and request information from several schools so that
you can compare and, if possible, negotiate more favourable
conditions.
· There is no such thing as the "perfect" college or university.
Stay open minded and realize that any number of schools may
be a good fit for you and provide you with the degree and
student services that you need.
Important aspects you should pay attention to include:
· School’s accreditation
· Financial aid offered
· Tuition and fees. What’s included and what isn’t. Payment
plans.
· Student services available
· Instructors’ credentials
· How tests are administered
· Time required to complete the program
· How long the program has been offered and how many
students have enrolled
· Key dates
· Any requirements or pre-requisitesESTJ Learning Style
How ESTJs acquire, memorize and recollect information
An ESTJ’s interest in learning a subject is stimulated by the
question, “Does this solve a problem?” If the answer is yes, the
more thoroughly and specifically they can learn how, the
greater their interest in the topic and the greater their desire to
12. apply what they learn. Their interest in studying something is
driven by the desire to gain practical experience in the
implementation of certain ideas or activities.
ESTJs are capable of processing material built on a logical
framework, as well as large amounts of information lacking
logical cohesion. They easily comprehend new material when it
is demonstrated using straightforward, real-life examples.
ESTJs understand the material in a concrete, factual way, and
they immediately grasp how it can be used. Visual aids and
active learning methods substantially improve their learning.
ESTJs learn noticeably well in an organized educational system
(e.g., an organized degree or certification program), but can
also learn from sources not unified by a single formal learning
process (e.g., individual courses or readings).
ESTJs are able to actively, accurately, and proficiently apply
material they have learned well and understood in
straightforward tasks.
ESTJs are highly tolerant to high levels learning related stress.
They prefer to evenly distribute their efforts when learning new
material, although they are also capable of learning through
relatively short periods of overexertion.Your Type Preferences
Extravert(38%) Sensing(16%) Thinking(41%) Judging(12%)
An ESTJ’s learning is improved when:
· Material is presented in practical terms
· Active learning methods such as debates, brainstorming and
contests are used
· The same material is repeatedly presented (improves
retention)
· There is logical consistency in the delivery of material
· Material is presented from varied viewpoints or using varied
examples (improves retention)
· They do group work with the material (gives an advantage
over independent work)
· Material is delivered at a moderate or fast pace
· Lecture materials are available (can improve exam
preparation)
13. An ESTJ’s learning is hindered when:
· Material is overly conceptual
· Material lacks practical application (noticeably reduces
interest)
· Material appeals primarily to the finer feelingsESTJ
Communication Skills
In communication ESTJs are open but often demanding. They
expect others to fulfill what was discussed and agreed upon, in
due time and in the proper manner. ESTJs most often embody
this attitude just as well toward themselves.
ESTJs are usually not comfortable with situations requiring
especially good people skills, e.g. being particularly delicate or
patient. Their open and direct proclamation of their principles
and intentions may sometimes hurt the feelings of the more
feeling types (F) or provoke strong resistance on part of other
leadership-oriented people who may have a different opinion.
ESTJs often find it hard to express themselves when they have
to talk about finer feelings: such topics as love or lyric poetry
may not produce a strong emotional response in them. However,
they are usually actively involved in events and gatherings that
involve expression of feelings and emotions, such as feting
persons of extraordinary bravery, or in charity events.
An ESTJ will normally have an extensive circle of friends,
colleagues, and contacts they make during such events as
receptions, meetings, entertainment events, and recreational
activities.
An ESTJ's business communication is likely to be active and
frequent. Their colleagues (or others who work in the same
field) are often reliant on, or interested in, their competent
opinion of counsel on professional subjects. Their business
communication usually involves an exchange of opinions, as
well as a discussion of management issues and practical
solutions.Your Type Preferences
Extravert(38%) Sensing(16%) Thinking(41%)
Judging(12%)ESTJ: Strategies for Successful Communication
An ESTJ finds it easy to establish a common ground with
14. people of sensing/thinking (ST) personality types including
ESTJ, ISTJ, ESTP, and ISTP. These types have a similar way of
perceiving the world. For the most part, they keep their
communication to facts and their direct implications. ESTJs find
it easy to share their experience and observations with other
STs, and are in turn are receptive to their experience or
opinions.
ESTJs should communicate somewhat differently with the
representatives of intuitive/thinking types (NT) including ENTJ,
INTJ, ENTP, and INTP. They should rely on conceptual and
logical communication in their interaction with these types.
ESTJs can usually adapt to this manner of communication easily
enough, but they may sometimes have to struggle to find the
sort of argumentation that resonates well with ST personality
types. It can occasionally lead to an ESTJ keeping just to the
topics that both parties can relate to.
There are certain nuances to how ESTJs should communicate
with the representatives of sensing/feeling (SF) types including
ESFJ, ISFJ, ESFP, and ISFP. ESTJs should strive to keep
communication with these types to concrete, tangible things and
experience. This type of communication is easy to engage in for
both parties. Some ESTJs may find it difficult to discuss finer
feelings, but they are what forms the basis of how the SF people
perceive the world. In these cases ESTJs may just want to keep
the conversation within a topic that both parties can relate to.
ESTJs will find it the most challenging to communicate with
intuitive/feeling (NF) personality types, including ENFJ, INFJ,
ENFP, and INFP. ESTJs should emphasi ze concepts, ideas, and
feelings in their interaction with these types. However, ESTJs
find it taxing to construct a dialog in this manner. They have to
strain in order to find argumentation that people from this group
will understand, and thus often try to keep their communication
brief. In order to establish a level of discussion that both parties
will find acceptable, an ESTJ has to tune into the
communicative style compatible with the NF group in advance.
How to determine which personality type group another person
15. belongs to?What helps successful communication for an ESTJ:
· the topic deals with practical solutions
· the topic requires that active measures be taken
· the topic mostly deals with concrete, tangible issues
· the topic requires a clear understanding of how events unfold
as well as of their logical interconnectionsWhat hinders
successful communication for an ESTJ:
· the topic relates to abstract and theoretical issues
· the topic has to do with the finer feelings of the soul
· prolonged communication with people from the NF group
