Abstract:[Ihepurpose of thisstudy was to examine theeffects ef aerobic exercise and low-
frequency electrical stimulation'on exercise capacity and muscle strength for healthy
subjects, Subjectswere dividedintotwo groups;the group of only aerobic exercise (exercise
group) :the combined traininggroup of aerobic exercise and low-frequency electrical
stimulation (combinationgroup, n=6), Motortasks were performed aerobic exercise inboth
group at the firsttwo weeks. Four weeks thereafterthe exercise group performed only
aerobic exercise, thecombination group performed aerobic exercise and low-frequency
electrical stimulation. Then, two weeks thereafter, exercise group discontinuedthe exercise,
thecombination group were conducted only low-frequencyelectrical stimulation, The result,
.
in the exercise group, ATV02 showed a tendency to increase after 6 weeks. In the
combination group, ATV02 increasedafter 6weeks and 8weeks,PeakV02 increasedat 6
weeks. The right isometric knee extension strength increasedafter 8 weeks. Inthe
combination group,ATV02 tended highatter 6weeks than the exercise groupand increased
.
at 8 weeks thantheexercise group. PeakV02 of the combination group increasedat 6weeks
and 8 weeks, As theresults, inorder to improveexercise capacity ,it was suggested thatthe
combination of aerobic exercise and low, frequencyelectrical stimulation hadmore possibility
forthegain of exercise capacityL
.
Key words :PeakV02, exercise capacity, lowLfrequencyelectrical stimulation
