Paul Erdos was a Hungarian mathematician who worked with over 500 collaborators during his career and published over 1,500 papers. He spent his life traveling between mathematics departments around the world, collaborating with other mathematicians and making important contributions to number theory, graph theory, combinatorics, and other fields. Erdos is considered one of the most prolific mathematicians of the 20th century and helped lay the foundations of random graph theory and probabilistic number theory.
