1. You were checking your cell phone on the A around 10 a.m. You glanced down at me,
and I glanced up at you. We're in the same apartment building a lot, but I'm pretty sure
you never notice me, except for the occasional "turn-on." I'm pretty sure I brighten your
day, but you might think I'm just a regular ol' incandescent. I'm far from basic and down
for a long-term relationship. What I'm saying is I could last decades. 22+ years to be
exact.
You left me in the lighting aisle at Home Depot
It seemed like we had a real connection when you checked me out at The Home Depot.
You looked me up and down for a while before you tossed me aside, grabbing some other
guy who is a definite burnout. I think you deserve better than that. You even used
recycled grocery bags! Your shoes were made of vegan leather! My heart was a'flutter. I
expect I'll see you back here soon when the guy you took home ends up being a dud
