Physical and psychological violence, called bullying grows in educational institutions
of Ecuador, but there are still no actual figures according to the Ministry of Education,
but it is a situation that worries the authorities of the South American country. The
issue is under discussion not only in civil society but also of the Assembly which
does not rule out sanctions based on the dictates of the Constitution and laws of
Education, Communication and the Code for Children and Adolescents, which allow
put a stop to bullying in schools and colleges that are subject to hundreds of
students.
Ximena Ponce, president of the Education Commission of the legislature, said the
eradication of this problem is a responsibility of all, is integrating the educational
system, civil society and parents, because assaults of children and young people
usually replicas of what they live in their environment. Information and multimedia

Bullying in Ecuador is a fast growing process such as in any country. It is a problem
that for the moment is still trying to be solved. There have been many cases in which
people have experienced different types of bullying such as cyber social or physical
bullying.
