•A journal/ notebook / sketchbook and writing/drawing equipment.
Don’t forget; the purpose of the visit is to research ideas for your
current and future projects.
•Passport and EHIC.
• Euros – you will need money for lunches, snacks and to buy
postcards etc. Be aware that the rate of exchange is constantly
fluctuating and that Paris is never cheap. (It is of course entirely your
choice how much spending money to bring).
•Warm clothes (including a coat) and waterproof shoes. Paris in mid-
February is likely to be cold and there will be lots of walking outside.
If you wear the equivalent of slippers you will have cold feet!
•Mobile phone (with a charger) and camera. Try not to have too much
paraphernalia with your camera and bear in mind that you will need
to keep it secure. Paris is no better or worse than other capital cities
for the risk of pickpocketing – especially at tourist destinations such
as the Louvre.
