Plastic waste management is a major contributor of these gases. In India, cities generate large amounts of plastic waste daily, but only a small portion is recycled. Improper waste disposal pollutes the environment and impacts public health. While recycling technologies exist, effective waste management solutions that involve all stakeholders are needed to reduce plastic pollution in India.
