Holiday Memories
One cold evening, Lily decided to clean out the cupboards in her living room. It was a good chance to do some
spring cleaning – her daughter was at a sleepover in her friend’s house and her husband was relaxing by playing
fantasy football on his PC.
She opened a big black plastic bag and started throwing out old magazines and holiday brochures. But then, she
came across a shoe box that she wanted to keep. Inside, it had a photo album with photos of a family holiday to
Spain when she was just 12 years old.
The first photo showed the luxury hotel where they stayed - the Matador. It was right on the beach, though Lily’s
family spent most of their time swimming in the hotel’s huge pool. Another photo showed her family at a restaurant.
