The document provides a summary of Lesson 5 from a series on the Gospel of Matthew. It discusses key themes around unseen spiritual forces at work in the world, including:
- There is an unseen spiritual war between Christ and Satan that impacts the choices people make in their lives.
- Jesus references this unseen spiritual war when accused of casting out demons, saying the kingdom of God is advancing against the kingdom of the devil.
- The imprisonment of John the Baptist and suffering of the kingdom of heaven are examples of this unseen spiritual conflict breaking into the visible world.
- While Satan was defeated at the cross, he continues to subtly tempt people to steal their loyalty away from God until Christ's return.

The document is a lesson on Matthew 18-20 from the Gospel of Matthew. It discusses several key passages:
- Jesus teaches that humility like a child is required to be greatest in God's kingdom. True greatness comes from who we are, not what we do.
- Jesus instructs his disciples to forgive others not just 7 times but 490 times if necessary. We should follow steps to resolve offenses but ultimately forgive.
- When asked what disciples who leave everything will receive, Jesus says they will receive a hundredfold reward in this life and eternal life. Rewards in heaven are the same for all.
- James and John seek positions of power but Jesus says true greatness comes from suffering
This document provides a summary of Lesson 12 from a study on the letters to the seven churches in Revelation. It examines the qualities, controversies, advice, and promises that Jesus gives to each church: Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea. It encourages applying the messages to one's own life and church. The conclusion emphasizes that Christ watches over the church and keeps it safe through the Holy Spirit.
This document summarizes a Bible study lesson about Jesus' temptation in the wilderness by Satan. It describes how Satan tried to sabotage God's plan of salvation by tempting Jesus. The document analyzes each of Jesus' three temptations by Satan and how Jesus overcame them by relying on Scripture. It concludes that Jesus came to restore dominion over the earth, destroy evil, save sinners, and reveal God. Christians can also overcome temptation by relying on God's Word, as Jesus did.
This document contains a summary of key passages from the Gospel of Matthew about Jesus and the Sabbath. It discusses how Jesus upheld the Sabbath by embodying God's law, and how he showed the Pharisees their incorrect understanding of what was allowed on the Sabbath. Jesus healed on the Sabbath and allowed his disciples to pick grain, showing that doing good works and acts of necessity were permitted. The document examines Jesus' teachings on properly observing the Sabbath as a day of rest, worship, and time with God, not for business or pleasure. It encourages keeping the Sabbath in a way that honors God and brings joy.
At the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus taught His disciples how citizens of God's kingdom should live according to the spirit of the law, not just its letter. He called them to a higher standard of righteousness in their thoughts and actions than that of the Pharisees, who followed religious laws mainly to be praised by others. True Christians live according to God's will so that He may be praised. Later, in parables, Jesus explained that entering God's kingdom requires abandoning all that could hinder accepting salvation freely offered through Him.
The document summarizes key events and challenges faced by the early Christian church after Jesus' ascension. It discusses how the disciples struggled with preconceived notions but were empowered at Pentecost. It then describes opposition the church faced from religious leaders who tried to stop its spread, as well as internal conflicts over including Gentiles. Both victories and defeats are seen in the church's battles with the forces of opposition in the great controversy between good and evil.
The document summarizes key events and lessons from Jesus' ministry based on passages from the Gospels. It discusses how Jesus chose disciples to help preach and teach, but they struggled with flaws like pride and doubt. It provides examples of Jesus calming a storm to demonstrate he can help in adversity, and teaching that true greatness comes from service rather than status or position. It emphasizes the importance of personal Bible study like the disciples on the road to Emmaus who learned from Jesus explaining the scriptures to them. The conclusion encourages diligent Bible study and conformity to God's word to prepare for coming events.
This document provides a summary of Lesson 7 from a series on the great controversy theme. It begins with a key Bible text from Matthew 11:28 about finding rest in Jesus. It then discusses how the great controversy theme can be viewed from both a grand, overarching perspective as well as in daily, practical terms in our lives. The rest of the document covers several of Jesus' teachings from Matthew that provide guidance for remaining faithful to God during the great controversy, including teachings about building our faith on the rock, not judging others, and Jesus' promise to always be with us.
Matthew wrote his gospel to introduce Jesus as the Messiah and Son of David. He included Jesus' genealogy which contained marginalized women to show Jesus identifies with sinners. Matthew highlighted Jesus' humanity and role as Savior who saves people from their sins. He wrote for Jewish readers to show Jesus fulfilled prophecies as the Messiah.
The document discusses the end times and finding rest in Christ. It summarizes that:
1) The world is facing serious issues as end times events are fulfilled, but believers can find rest in Christ amid the troubles.
2) Jesus promised he will return and believers should remain faithful until then, finding rest in his promises.
3) When Christ returns, believers will receive ultimate rest in the new Earth with God for eternity.
Jonah initially refused God's call to preach to Nineveh because he did not want to warn his enemies. He tried to flee by boat to Tarshish instead of obeying God. God sent a storm and a large fish to intervene. After being rescued, Jonah fulfilled his mission. The Ninevites repented greatly upon hearing Jonah's short message. However, Jonah was still unhappy that God forgave Nineveh. God used the example of a plant to help Jonah understand that God's mercy and concern extends to all people. In the end, both Nineveh and Jonah learned to accept God's love and forgiveness.
The document summarizes symbols presented in the New Testament that point to spiritual truths. It discusses how Paul viewed the crossing of the Red Sea as a symbol of baptism, and how John the Baptist saw animal sacrifices at the Temple as a symbol of Jesus redeeming people. It also examines how the book of Hebrews presents the Sabbath in creation and entering the promised land as symbols of the rest God gives believers. The document explores these symbols and their deeper meanings, emphasizing how they point to spiritual realities about following Christ.
The document discusses the Sabbath and what it means to keep the Sabbath holy. It provides several key points about the Sabbath:
1) The Sabbath is a day of rest dedicated to God to remember God's power in creation and our role as stewards.
2) It is meant to be a day of thankfulness for our liberation from sin and a reminder of God's plan for our full communion with Him.
3) Rather than just physical rest, the Sabbath involves serving others through acts of love, mercy, and benevolence without limits of time or place.
The document discusses the importance and meaning of the Sabbath. It summarizes that the Sabbath reminds us that God created us and redeemed us from slavery. It is a day for resting with God and having communion with our Creator. The Sabbath points to Jesus as our Creator and Redeemer and the promise that one day we will live with Him forever in a new creation without sin or stress.
This document summarizes two biblical stories about individuals who faced physical or spiritual sickness and discouragement, and the lessons we can learn from them. The paralytic man's illness was caused by his sinful life, but his friends cared for him and Jesus forgave his sins and healed him. Elijah faced discouragement when threatened by Jezebel, but found rest and encouragement from God who assigned him new purpose and tasks. Both examples show that through faith in God, forgiveness, and his love, one can find healing and hope even in suffering.
Joseph was imprisoned for two more years after being released from prison. When the Pharaoh had strange dreams, the butler remembered Joseph's ability to interpret dreams. Joseph interpreted the dreams to mean there would be seven years of abundance followed by seven years of famine. He advised Pharaoh to store grain during the abundant years. As a result, Pharaoh promoted Joseph to first minister and gave him a high position in Egypt. During the first year of famine, Joseph's brothers came to Egypt for food and Joseph had to decide whether to punish or forgive them for their past treatment of him.
This document summarizes a lesson about Joseph from the Bible. It discusses how Joseph came from a dysfunctional family but learned lessons of faith from them. As a young man, Joseph's brothers sold him into slavery in Egypt after becoming jealous of him. Though facing difficulties, Joseph maintained his faith in God. He found favor with his masters and rose to a position of leadership overseeing other slaves. His faith and moral character helped him overcome conflicts and challenges.
This document provides a summary of Matthew 11:28-30 about finding rest in Christ. It examines the context of the passage and what it means to take Christ's yoke. Key points include: 1) Jesus offers rest because he is one with God; 2) To find rest, we must feel the need for it and bring our burdens to Jesus; 3) Christ's yoke makes burdens easier to carry as we submit to his will. The yoke represents submitting to God's law of liberty rather than heavy burdens of works or slavery. With Christ's strength, his yoke is light.
David committed adultery with Bathsheba and arranged for her husband Uriah to be killed. He tried to conceal his sins but was confronted by Nathan. David repented and confessed his sins. Though forgiven, David still faced consequences for his actions, including the death of his child with Bathsheba. However, through repentance, David was able to find joy in God's salvation again. True repentance requires a changed heart and relying on God rather than oneself to resist sin going forward. David's story shows both the possibility of forgiveness for even grave sins, as well as the consequences of sin despite repentance.

(Откровение 21:1-2;
22:1-4)
и разрывая узы смерти (Матфея 4:24;
