Mattingly "AI & Prompt Design: The Basics of Prompt Design"
120429 euq hack qarcade-proposal
1. A programmable quantum arcade for educators and game developers.
Arcade machine design schematics
Open-sourcing tutorial documents on Github including:
Quantum computing with micro-qiskit
Basic PICO-8 game programming
How to setup Pico8 run it on raspberry pi.
Assembling the physical arcade machine.
Project ideas and
Deliverables
2. Impact and Goals
Near term plans
Coaching and collaborating quantum game
development with local Taiwanese students.
Surveying local school hardware capability to build
QArcades (laser cutter vs 3D printers etc)
Hosting weekly PICO-8 and micro-qiskit tutorial
sessions.
Host monthly quantum game jams.

11. Engaging and appealing.
Have built-in competitive elements:
high-score board, PvP mechanisms
Scientifically correct: explanations of
rules, especially quantum ideas.
Details should be carefully formulated
and serves as a guidance.
What do we want to see in
quantum games?
12. Current status
Hardware To-do:
Extend to 10” screen
Build large enough
base for keyboards.
Use Debian+USB
instead of
Retropie+GPIO for
driver compatibility.
Software To-do:
Add more in-game
descriptions and
educational guidance
on existing games.
Invite more enthusiastic
to investigate novel
ideas in quantum
games.
The current bottleneck of developing a quantum game often involves sophisticated setup between quantum simulator modules such as qiskit and main game engines such as unity or gadget. Quantum game developers these days, however, are amateur enthusiastic like us who usually has physics or science background. In order to lower the technical threshold and invite more game developers for quantum educations, we would like to build a platform for quantum game developers and players. And our proposal is to run micro-qiskit hosted on an arcade machine with pico-8 game engine and raspberry pi microprocessor.
