This psalm describes the struggles of feeling envy and bitterness towards the wicked who seem to prosper without trouble. The writer's heart was confused as they questioned God's fairness. However, after going to God's sanctuary, they understood the wicked's destiny is destruction. The writer realized their heart was bitter and foolish, but that God still holds them and guides them. They have made God their shelter and will tell others of God's wonderful works.
