- Window
Some Ideas…
- Public space can be any environment meant for a lot of people and multiple purposes like a
classroom or a marta station.
- Shared “community” space is more about smaller environments you share with people you know
like your art table in class or your lunch table.
- Private space is somewhere just for you like your backpack, or your locker.
- You must include some observational drawing in each page (and it should be easily recognizable)
but you can add your own take on how the space could better (so this can be invented)
- Color can be completed through pastel, watercolor, and tissue paper - you decide.
- Line drawings must be completed in pen.
- Your reflection statements for each space need to be about how you fit into this space.
- A window can be something as simple as a window into the next page, or a cutout along the edge
of the paper. Or it can be complex, where part of the drawing in the previous page shows through
the window and becomes something different in the next drawing.
For techniques, look in your “Creating a Visual Verbal Journal handout” in your folder.
Remember: If you don’t finish a journal page in class, then it is considered homework.
